Huge Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Leak Lets Hundreds Of Users Play Online

Gamers are seemingly enjoying the beta version of the game.

Story Highlights

  • A PS4 build for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was recently leaked online a couple of days ago.
  • As per a new report, hundreds of users are already playing the game online without repercussions.
  • The leak may have helped the devs more than we thought since players now know what to expect.

A couple of days ago, a PS4 build for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was reported to leak online. It allegedly gave a bunch of players access to the entry through jailbroken consoles. Now, a new report by Insider Gaming claims that hundreds of users are already playing the title online without facing any repercussions. There is even an unnamed dedicated Discord server used by these players to communicate and gain access to the build.

Initially, it was assumed that only a couple of players were able to get into the Black Ops 6 build, but a whole small community has now been formed. To add more intrigue, everyone is playing against each other in full lobbies instead of facing bots. These users are apparently enjoying the beta version of the game, which others would have gotten access to at the end of August.

The Black Ops 6 Leak May Have Worked Out In Favor Of The Devs

While most of us would suspect the huge leak to cause plenty of damage to the developers, the opposite might just have been true. Many Black Ops 6 enthusiasts were skeptical of the new omnidirectional movement system and some other mechanics; the PS4 build has instead allowed a plethora of players to get a taste of what’s to come and clear any doubts regarding the next mainline COD entry.

It’s worth noting that some have criticized the rough visuals. However, the Black Ops 6 build is likely unpolished, and it’s also a PS4 version, after all. So, these hindrances will likely be resolved before we get to play the title. Overall, the devs have yet to take any action at the time of writing this report. It’s also advised to take the leak and the info that comes out with a grain of salt since a lot is subject to change until the FPS officially releases.
