Halo Infinite Campaign Expansion Could Be Releasing This Year

Expansions for Halo Infinite could be coming out this year, as suggested by the LinkedIn profile of the Principal Engineering Manager and 2022 Campaign Director at 343 Industries.

The Halo franchise has been a huge success from 343 Industries. Their latest entry to the series, Halo Infinite, is seemingly one of the best first-person shooter games today. The game was released in 2021 and is reviewed as one of the Xbox Game Studio’s best games, helping the studio achieve history in Metacritic ratings. That’s not all; according to Russell Matteson, the Principal Engineering Manager 343 Industries’, profile on LinkedIn, Halo Infinite is speculated to get a massive expansion this year. This was originally found by a ResetEra user, Ging-Sama, and later reshared in a tweet from @IdleSloth84.

Russell Matteson is not only the Principal Engineering Manager at 343 Industries but also the 2022 Campaign Director for the company. Russell has posted some interesting details regarding what players can expect from Halo Infinite this year on his LinkedIn profile. In his Experience section, Russell has mentioned his background with completed projects at the company. “Directed 2022 campaign efforts for Halo Infinite in partnership with design and production,” it states. From that, we can expect the release of some Halo Infinite expansions this year. Exactly when? We don’t know yet. However, we now have a vague idea of what to expect from the expansions.

According to the tweet posted by @IdleSloth84, he is speculating that “by the end of the year we could get co-op, new campaign, BR mode and Forge.” He also seems to think that the expansion for Halo Infinite could be out this year but again, it is only speculation. Earlier this year, the former Halo Lead Multiplayer Designer, Andrew Witts, left 343 Industries; “excited about what’s next,” he stated. We could be getting huge updates for the game this year with everything that the players have wanted for Halo Infinite. Of course, these are just conjectures and not any official news or confirmation.
