The New “Stormcloud Vapor” Xbox Series Controller Leaks Online; Slated To Launch Next Month

The controller is rumored to be related to upcoming Forza Motorsport.

Story Highlights

  • Microsoft is rumored to launch a new Xbox controller named “Stormcloud Vapor” and codenamed “Jemez” early next month. The exact date is suggested to be August 8, but it could change.
  • It is possibly related to the new Forza Motorsports game, as told by the leaker Billbil-kun.
  • The new Stormcloud Vapor Wireless Controller will drain your pockets out of $69.99 or €69.99.
  • Forza Motorsports is slated for release on October 10 for Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.

A series of new rumors have arisen from a trusted dataminer and insider, Billbil-kun, leaking the existence of a unique Xbox Series controller. The alleged controller is dubbed “Stormcloud Vapor” and is fabled to be affiliated with the highly awaited Forza Motorsports title. It is apparently codenamed Jemez and will release the early next month. Its correlation with the title is currently not affirmed by the leaker and is just the best-case scenario.

Billbil-kun of Dealabs has confirmed the pricing of the new Stormcloud Vapor Wireless Controller to be $69.99 or €69.99. Unfortunately, no images or the concept art of the controller have been leaked, making it impossible to figure out the exact specifics and esthetics of the new device.

If the rumors are to be believed, we may get our hands on the mysterious Xbox controller starting on August 8. Billbil-kun is not sure about the exact date since it can change anytime. If the controller is related to Forza Motorsports, then it will likely launch simultaneously with the game. It is also currently unclear whether the new device will feature any innovative features not seen before in other controllers that have come out this year.

The dataminer is renowned for being correct many times in the past and has accurately predicted the release dates of GTA Trilogy on Steam and Epic Games Store. He is also trusted heavily in the PlayStation community for leaking the PS Plus Essential Games month after month without getting anything wrong.

We still suggest taking the rumors of the new Stormcloud Vapor Xbox controller with a pinch of salt, as many things are susceptible to change before the alleged Forza Motorsport controller releases. The company may officially announce the Stormcloud Vapor controller in the next few weeks.

Microsoft has brought a slew of indelible Xbox controllers since the year started. After the huge success of the Starfield controller back in June, Stormcloud Vapor will become the 7th new controller launching this year. Moreover, it could be possible that it finally brings a feature akin to the haptic feedback found in PlayStation controllers. Forza Motorsports is slated for release on October 10 for Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.
