The gaming community is a gift that keeps on giving, but not all blessings that arise in the wake of it are scenarios that you’d normally expect. Such is the case with a new trend in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 called G-Walk or in other words, Gorilla Walk. Sounds pretty vague, right? Well, you haven’t seen all of this yet.
G-Walk is a tricky movement mechanic that lets you move around similar to how a gorilla would, granting the player faster speed and the ability to negate incoming damage with terrific sleekness.
It’s the latest Warzone 2.0 multiplayer exploit that has the receiving end of this frightening mechanic shaken and confused. Catching the trick in action, it’s quite easy to see why.
The Rundown:
- Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is the direct successor to the 2020-released Call of Duty: Warzone. The battle royale first-person shooter arrived at the forefront of the gaming industry shortly after the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
- The game sports overhauls of different sorts, including visual improvements and the introduction of new game mechanics, but nothing in any of the title’s patch notes could’ve prepared you for what’s coming next.
- Evidently, a group of Call of Duty players going by the name of Euphoria on Twitter has discovered this exceptionally unique movement mechanic inadvertently probably. The squad of shooters has given the movement a name as well called G-Walk.
- This is where you roam around with gorilla-like movement, but the astonishing part is the boost in overall movement speed that you receive with performing such trickery.
G-Walk could’ve been no more than a mere gimmick, but the fact that it’s practical to a reasonable extent makes us truly wonder what else is out there in Warzone 2. The credit goes to Euphoria on Twitter for introducing G-Walk to the world. This is soon going to become a thing now unless the developers step in and do something about it.
Taking to the famous social media platform to make the big announcement, here’s how they welcome the G-Walk movement mechanic to the bustling Call of Duty fanbase.

If you ask us, the hack appears to be a perfectly timed repetition of the prone mechanic followed by standing right back up, taking a couple of steps forward, and then replicating the process again.
The creators of this eccentricity did say that a tutorial on how to perform the G-Walk yourself will soon drop, so fingers crossed as to when that will happen and what will the guide truly teach us.
Other creators have joined in on the fun as well, releasing their own iterations of what appears to be an enticing combination of performing a snake walk and then canceling that position to keep up the momentum.

Whatever the case, it’s not likely that this clever stratagem will be sticking around any longer. The developer of Warzone 2 — Infinity Ward — will probably release a patch for G-Walk, thereby killing off the marvelous project and restoring the game’s optimal movement mechanics.
Anyhow, it is fun while it lasts, given how incredibly difficult it gets to keep your gun pointed at the enemy pouncing about the map like a silverback gorilla. Try it on your end and see if it’s possible to mimic the G-Walk without the need for a tutorial.
As for the game itself, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 has had a massive launch, scoring 5 million players just five days into its release. It’s available on all major platforms at the moment, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.
The game even boosted Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s player count to 450,000 concurrent players on Steam just a couple of days after its release, so that’s definitely something.
What do you think about Warzone 2? Is it just an iterative sequel with a positive connotation? Do let us know in the comments section ahead.
