Activision has recently suffered a data breach by a hacker that used phishing techniques to gain access to a device. The compromised data has resulted in a slew of details coming to light. Besides employees and their personal details, no user data or accounts were thankfully impacted by the recent hack attempt.
However, the huge hack has revealed new info related to the studio’s recently released games, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. The leak includes details about seasonal content and more. Moreover, details about Activision’s new project have also been found in the new leak. The leak was shared by an accredited insider, vx-underground.
.@Activision was breached December 4th, 2022. The Threat Actors successfully phished a privileged user on the network. They exfiltrated sensitive work place documents as well as scheduled to be released content dating to November 17th, 2023.

The new leak has unveiled data regarding a few of the forthcoming seasons of both games, giving us a better insight into what to expect. The plans for seasons 3, 4, and 6 have been revealed so far because of the hack. However, Season 5 is nowhere to be seen in the breached data shared by the insider.
Season 3 will bring two new operators, three new weapons, three core maps, one battle map, and four gunfight maps. Moreover, a Spec Ops mission, a raid, a tier-1 event, 70 bundles, and a battle pass is also planned for Season 3. The season will last from March 15th to May 15th.
Seasons 4 and 6 are also nearly similar in what content they will bring to the table, but Activision appears to have made some minor changes; the number of maps will differ, for instance. Season 4 will last from May 15th to July 16th, and Season 6 will last from September 15th to November 8th.
One noteworthy change in Season 6 is the integration of the “Haunting of Saba” event, which will be integrated sometime in September. The event appears to be related to this year’s Halloween season, but no further details were mentioned in the leak.
Activision’s new project codenamed Jupiter also appears to be included in the images shared by the insider, but it is barely visible. Details around the newly revealed project are quite scarce, but it is thought to be Activision’s next premium Call of Duty installment, or it could be something else entirely.
The project Jupiter is divided into different periods on the chart. For instance, there is a time span for Jupiter GL4, Jupiter Alpha, and Jupiter GL5. It is unclear what GL exactly means in the leak, but the word “Alpha” is pretty self-explanatory.
It is possible that Jupiter Alpha suggests that the alpha version for the next project will be released. The time span for the Alpha period is listed to range from 26th May to 2nd June. However, nothing has been confirmed yet, we suggest taking the news with a grain of salt.
