The Eye Of Cthulhu
Form | Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
1st form | 15 | 2800 | 12 | 100% | Confused Debuff |
2nd form | 23 | 1400/2800 | 0 | 100% | Confused Debuff |
The Eye Of Cthulhu will be your first boss encounter in the game, and this boss is a big circular-eye look-a-like creature that roams the arena.
Spawn system
The Eye of Cthulhu has a 33% chance to spawn naturally at night once a player reaches 200HP. Alternatively, players can summon it by crafting a “suspicious-looking eye” with six lenses at a Demon or Crimson Altar and using the item at night. A forewarning message, “You feel an evil presence watching you,” appears before its arrival.
Tutorial
- First Form: The Eye floats above, deploying servants to attack. Players should target its pupil, where the servants emerge, using weapons like swords. After releasing servants, the Eye will dive towards the player, who should dodge these attacks and counter with arrows to inflict damage.
- Second Form: Upon transformation, the Eye reveals a fanged mouth and changes its attack pattern. Players should avoid attacking during its charge but strike during its brief pauses after every three charges.
King Slime
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
40 | 2000 | 10 | 100% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff |
Despite barely qualifying as a boss, King Slime manages to give newcomers a hard time who do not own up-to-the-par gear. Most of its attacks are predictable, And it cannot move through the blocks, giving a visible advantage to the player.
Spawn system
King Slime possesses a unique spawn system.
Under the following conditions, the king slime can be spawned
- Make a Gold or Platinum crown, and then you should go to at the Demon Altar and combine it with 20 gel.
- By defeating 75 slimes during a slime rain.
- King Slime boss also has a great chance of spawning in a slime rain.
Tutorial
- Attacks: King Slime primarily attacks by leaping towards the player, with the jump’s range dependent on the player’s distance. If too far, King Slime will teleport closer. As it takes damage, it reduces in size, making it harder to hit. It also spawns smaller blue slimes as part of its attack pattern.
- Weapons: Firearms and other ranged weapons are effective against King Slime, enabling players to maintain distance and deal damage.
Eater of Worlds /Brain of Cthulhu:
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
N/A | 10050 – 7500 | N/A | 100% | – Confused Debuff |
This Terraria boss is fairly difficult but holds plenty of rewards and can give you a tough time. When in the terrain of corruption, you’ll fight this boss as Eater of Worlds. The Brain of Cthulhu is the Eater of the World’s counterpart you’ll face in Crimson Terrain.
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
30 | 1250 – 3250 | 14 | 100% | – Confused Debuff |
Spawn System
The Brain of Cthulhu can be spawned through
- Smashing three crimson hearts
- Using a bloody spine
While the Eater of the Worlds can be spawned through
- Using Worm food in corruption
- Smashing three shadow orbs
Tutorial
The brain of Cthulhu will be surrounded by at least 20 creepers during the first stage of the boss fight. In this stage, the brain cannot be attacked. The first stage is probably the toughest as well as the boss teleports to your position and behind you along with creepers for extra damage.
Queen Bee
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
30 – 22 | 3400 | 8 | 100% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff |
Queen Bee is important to Destroy because killing her will summon the witch doctor to your village. After killing her, you can also explore the jungle and the underground.
Spawn system
Queen bees can be spawned under the following conditions
- Go to the jungle biome and find a beehive. Go inside and break the larva. This will summon the queen bee
- Using abomination in the jungle or underground jungle
Tutorial
The Queen bee can poison you if you touch it or its stingers. Like many other bosses, the queen bee also has minions called bees. When it attacks you, you should do a double jump or dodge its attacks upward. The poisoned debuff lasts longer from touching the queen bee as compared to being hit by one of its stingers.
In this situation, use the honey pool from the beehive to regenerate health.
Skeletron
Part | Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
Skeleton Hand | 20 | 600 | 14 | 100% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff |
Skeletron Head | – 32
– 1000 (during the day) |
4400 | – 0 (while spinning)
– 9999 (during the day) |
100% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff – Penetrated Debuff – Tentacle Spike melee weapon – Blood Butchered Sword |
The boss ‘Skeletron’ protects and guards an underground labyrinth known as the dungeon. This boss is the old man you’ll find outside the dungeon. This old man is cursed, and defeating the skeleton will break his curse. This hellish boss is difficult to fight, and dodging its attacks can be quite a nightmare. The boss’s structure Is a skull with 2 arms.
Spawn system
Skeletron can be summoned by doing the following
- Talking to an old man near the dungeon entrance at night
- Killing a clothier who is an NPC vendor by using a clothier’s voodoo doll. This must be done at night
Tutorial
Focus on destroying its skull, the key to victory. Skeletron wields its arms for attacks, swinging them in varied directions, making dodging tricky. Target its arms first; they’re more vulnerable and detachable.
Beware of Skeletron’s lethal spinning attack, keeping its arms extended. This move is critical to avoid to prevent massive health loss.
Wall of Flesh
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
50 | 8000 | 12 | 100% | – On Fire Debuff
– Confused Debuff – Hellfire Debuff |
The Wall of Flesh is the last boss you’ll encounter before entering the hard mode. This wall, the size of your screen, uses lasers and a mouth to attack you.
Spawn Mechanism
Head to the lava in the Underworld and throw the Voodoo doll in steaming lava while the thing still lives. The easiest method to acquire the voodoo doll in Terraria is by defeating a Voodoo demon.
Tutorial
Staying in front of the boss will give you an edge while fighting this boss in the game. This will gradually move toward you. Keep a distance from it, but don’t get too far as it might pull you towards it, and you can get damaged from hazards such as lava. Use your lava charm here, just in case.
Another enemy you’ll face while fighting this wall is the leeches. The wall’s mouth releases these leeches. They’ll drop a heart when they die. Make sure you collect them, as they’ll help you fight the wall. Use your melee weapons to kill them.
As the wall gets more and more damaged, it’ll start to move faster, and the damage by lasers will increase.
The Destroyer
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
N/A | 80,000 | N/A | 100% | – All Debuffs except stunned and bleeding debuffs. |
The mechanical version of Eater of Worlds, this is the first boss you’ll face in the hard mode. It is necessary to beat this boss in order to unlock plantera.
Spawn system
- Smash a demon or a crimson altar
- Use a mechanical worm at night
Tutorial
It digs underground and will attack you from beneath. The head will give you the most damage. Each segment would attack you by firing lasers. Its attacks are difficult to dodge due to its lasers being shot at different trajectories. It also spawns many probes that have the ability to move through blocks.
It has a probability of 33% dropping a heart when killed. Try dodging upwards while fighting this boss because if it manages to get above you, it’ll give you little to no space to dodge its probes.
Skeletron Prime
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
N/A | 80,000 | N/A | 100% | – All Debuffs except stunned and bleeding debuffs. |
Unlike many others – This boss is even harder than the destroyer, and while playing Terraria on hard mode, expect to get attacked by this boss out of nowhere. The creepiest and probably the hit marker points of the Skelton Prime boss are its four limbs: prime vice, prime saw, prime cannon, and prime laser.
However, you can deal the highest amount of damage to the most exposed and easy-to-hit part of this boss; the head. The interesting point here is that if you focus entirely on the boss’s head and kill it before attacking the rest of the four limbs, you will get to beat the boss and not worry about the four arms, as they kind of die on their own.
Tutorial
Every arm possesses a unique attack pattern. The Prime Saw is the least aggressive but does great damage. Prime Vice has less damage but will attack you more than Prime Saw. Meanwhile, Prime Laser hovers above you, shooting lasers. However, when enraged, this limb tends to be the most aggressive and difficult to destroy.
Prime cannon shoots bombs that explode when impacting a solid block. This arm is fairly less threatening than others.
The head floats above the player at all times and, just like Skeletron, also has a spinning attack in which the rate of attack of other limbs doubles as well.
The Twins
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
N/A | 43,000 | 10 | 100% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff |
They are like the eyes of Cthulhus but combined. These deal the most damage out of the three mechanical bosses and are very difficult to destroy.
Spawn System
- Smash a demon or a crimson altar. However, this applies to the trio of mechanical bosses. If the twins are the only ones left, they’ll be the ones to spawn.
- Use a mechanical eye at night.
Tutorial
Both these eyes must be defeated separately. One of these eyes is called Retinazer. It has a red iris and shoots a laser. The other is Spazmatism, which has a green iris and fires cursed flames.
Retinazer does less damage than Spazmatism but has a higher accuracy rate.
Retinazer’s lasers become difficult to dodge as the fight goes on. It is recommended that you defeat Spazmatism first due to the greater amount of damage it deals.
Plantera
Form/Parts | Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
1st form | 50 | 30,000 | 36 | 100% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff |
2nd form | 70 | 15,000/30,000 | 10 | 100% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff – Acid Venom Debuff |
Plantera’s Hook | 60 | 4000 | 24 | 0% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff |
Plantera’s Tentacle | 60 | 1000 | 20 | 0% | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff |
Spore | 70 | 1 | 0 | 100% | – Confused Debuff |
The boss ‘Plantera’ appears once you’ve defeated all three mechanical bosses, i.e., The destroyer, Skeletron Prime, and the twins.
Summon system
This boss can only be summoned by breaking Plantera’s bulb found in the jungle biome.
Tutorial
You can easily dodge this boss’s attacks if you have speed-boosting equipment. Don’t stop moving; use the arena to your benefit by preparing the space as more long and narrow.
On 50 percent health, the boss’s petals wither, and a green maw appears. At this stage, the planter is on max speed and defense.
Try to kill its tentacles by shooting it continuously and dodging their attacks.
It will attack you using seeds, thornbills, hooks, and spores. It will also release its minions, known as biters.
Golem
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
N/A | 60,000 | N/A | N/A | – Poisoned Debuff
– Confused Debuff – Acid Venom Debuff – On Fire Debuff |
In Lizard Temple, you can fight a boss known as Golem
It is a very powerful boss with a high HP and a variety of attacks, but you can dodge its attacks easily due to it not being very mobile.
Spawn system
Using the Lizahrd power cell at the Lizahrd altar can summon this boss. To get into the temple, you’ll need the temple key that Plantera drops, so fight it first.
Tutorial
Try to focus on its head and damage it using weapons like guns. The head will spit two fireballs that’ll move around the arena. Dodging the fireballs is important. It is a stage. Once at 50 percent, it will start using eye lasers as well. Destroying the head will reveal its TRUE form, and all the remaining limbs will attack you with increased damage.
Duke Fishron
Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
100 – 200 | 60,000 | 50 -100 | 100% | – Confused Debuff
– Stunned Debuff |
This is one of the final bosses in Terraria and is considered to be one of the most difficult bosses of the game.
Spawn system
Duke Fishron can be summoned using a Fishing Pole with a Truffle Worm that is found in the mushroom biome, as Bait in the Ocean.
Tutorial
Duke, in its first form, charges its flurry and attacks you five times with a short break between each attack. After charging, it’ll produce two attacks. The first attack fires around 20 Detonating bubbles
In its second attack, it will create two Sharknados on either side of it that’ll send its minions called Sharkrons toward the player.
When below 50 percent, his eyes gain a glow, and he stops moving for a second
In this stage, his speed increases, and the damage rate goes up. But he becomes more vulnerable as his defense goes down.
Lunatic Cultist
Form | Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
Original Form | 50 | 32,000 | 42 / 27 | 100% | – All Debuffs except whip debuffs |
Decoy | 0 | 10,000 | 35 / 22 | 100% | – All Debuffs |
This is the second last boss in Terraria. Defeating the Lunatic Cultist would summon the Celestial towers.
Spawn system
Killing the 4 cultists that spawn in front of the massive Golden sphere would summon the Lunatic Cultist.
Tutorial
This boss has three primary attacks:
- A ball of ice that rotates while shooting shards.
- Three fireballs that would explode upon contact.
- A stationary orb that has the ability to summon deadly lightning.
When in a vulnerable state upon being damaged enough, a fourth attack occurs, in which the Lunatic Cultist summons two ancient light projectiles that can be destroyed.
After a series of attacks, the cultist would now produce multiple copies of himself that are not mobile.
After this, a Phantasm Dragon will spawn and if it is already present, an Ancient Vision will spawn. The clones of lunatic cultists would keep on spawning the more you attack them. A good way to spot the fake ones is to fight this boss in the night as the fake ones would glow.
Moon Lord
Form/Part | Damage | Max Life | Defense | KB Resist | Immune To |
Full Form | Different for each attack | 145,000 | Different for each part | 100% | – Confused Debuff |
Moon Lord Head | – 0 ~ contact
– 150 ~ Phantasmal Deathray – 60 ~ Phantasmal Bolt |
45,000 | 50 | 100% | – Confused Debuff |
Moon Lord’s Hand | – 0 ~ contact
– 0 ~ contact with open eye socket – 80 ~ Phantasmal Sphere – 60 ~ Phantasmal Eye – 60 ~ Phantasmal Bolt |
25,000 | 40 | 100% | – Confused Debuff |
Moon Lord’s Core | 0 | 50,000 | 70 | 100% | – Confused Debuff |
The final and the most difficult boss of Terraria is the Moon Lord.
Spawn system
You’ll face this boss once you’ve destroyed the 4 Celestial towers.
Tutorial
The moon lord has eyes on its hands and forehead, you can only attack them and most of its main attacks come from here as well. The eyes on its hands shoot phantasmal spheres and spawn phantasmal eyes, alternating between them.
Its forehead shoots the phantasmal deathray. The eyes only take damage once they’re open or active. When you’ve defeated an eye it comes off and is now the True Eye of Cthulhu. The empty eye sockets now have fangs that are only damaged upon contact.
Sometimes, a tongue can also spawn from its mouth, trying to lick the player and cause the Moon Bite debuff.
By far, the deadliest attack that the Moon Lord produces is the Phantasmal Deathray. Dodging it must be a priority.
After you defeat all 3 of the boss’s eyes, you must face the hardest part of this boss, its core.
