Crysis 4 has been a highly anticipated project since rumors about its existence started sprouting in the gaming ecosystem. It was only officially announced at the advent of last year, but official sources have been quite silent about the entry since then. However, a new update does stifle the fears of some fans who worry about the game’s future. Crytek appeared at MP1st and confirmed it is still deep in development.
The general manager of Crytek studio, David Fifield, provided a small update regarding its development while talking about the devs’ other successful title, Hunt: Showdown. He mentioned that a “great team” is responsible for actively brewing Crysis 4, and updates about the title will eventually come out at the right time.
Crysis 4 is currently still in development and we have a great team working on it! We will update once we have more details on it down the line,” said the dev.
The game’s timeline began on January 18, 2022, when it was first announced on the Chinese social media site BiliBili. Crytek CEO Avni Yerli made remarks on the official website and dropped a teaser trailer for the fans to behold. Crysis 4 was unveiled when the project was in early development last year, but the team had reportedly been working on it for several years.

As development progresses we will release more details when we can. But in the meantime, know that our dedicated and talented team is working hard to bring you a truly next-gen shooter,” mentions the official announcement.
The studio also confirmed earlier in 2023 that Crysis 4 is focusing on a single-player campaign as the development ramps up. A video seeking talented game developers was posted that was hiring for key positions, confirming that the title is still years away from a launch.
The last game came out more than a decade ago, so many gamers are curious about Crysis 4. Speculations suggest it may come out in late 2024 or 2025 for next-gen consoles and PCs. Nevertheless, there is next to nothing to back up these rumors; we suggest taking them with a grain of salt.
