Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has only been out for a few days, but many controversies have followed suit. A string of reports from players suggests that either Rocksteady Studios or Steam is removing the negative reviews from the store page of the title. A slew of users claim to have allegedly noticed the deletion of reviews and the reduction in the total scores, as mentioned in Steam discussions, Reddit, comments, and the like.
A few theories have been passed around by the community that discuss possible ways the reviews were deleted. Some users argued that Rocksteady Studios is to be blamed for tinkering with the scores. However, a game dev can’t change the reviews of their games on their Steam page. Only in special cases do Steam admins step in to alter the reviews—like illegitimate review bombing.
Others suspect that Steam removed negative reviews of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League players who played below two hours and then refunded it. This scenario has also not played out here; Steam does not delete gamers’ reviews who refund their purchases. This was further corroborated by users who joined the discussions to defend the store. Additionally, no conclusive proof suggests that the reviews on Steam were tampered with.
Many Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League players have claimed that the overall reviews never reached the 7K mark. Those who checked via SteamDB also found no shady activity behind the curtains. Besides, users asserting the deletion have been unable to provide any definitive evidence that could support their claims. In other words, it’s all rumor mill at the moment that could be part of a hate campaign, as argued by another group of players.
Blatant misinformation to try and destroy the game.

All in all, we suggest taking these contentions with a huge grain of salt. There has been no official response from Steam or Rocksteady Studios regarding the brewing situation so far.
