Story Highlights
- The early Xbox Spring Sale is now here, discounting a wealth of titles for Xbox Game Pass users.
- Games such as Dead Island 2, Dead Space, Red Dead Redemption 2, and others received price cuts.
- Another Xbox sale is coming up soon, which will encompass deals for non-Game Pass users.
For those who are actively subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, the benefits come in swift, and that’s pretty much a given at this point. Take the latest Xbox Spring Sale for instance, which by the way hasn’t come about in full swing yet. Over a dozen different titles currently enjoy price cuts across the board for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One users, but here’s the kicker: Not all of these games are worth picking up.
That is why I decided to gather these 7 high-class titles that should grant you great replayability and simply amazing bang for your buck. There’s just one thing that you have to keep in mind—the forthcoming discounts are for Game Pass members only. In case you’re not a subscriber, sit tight until a more general sale is applied store-wide.
7 Of The Most Worth-It Games During The Xbox Spring Sale Event
I can vouch for the following games in the sense that I’ve played them all and consider them worth the price they’re coming at right now.
1. A Plague Tale: Requiem
- Release Date: October 18, 2022
- Genre: Action-Adventure
- Developer: Asobo Studio
Moving ahead, fans of the action-adventure genre will find A Plague Tale: Requiem to be one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences, considering how good of a storyline it entails. When you’re not getting your heart beaten to a pulp with the game’s plot, you’ll take a step back and appreciate the detailed in-game world and level design of Requiem. I mean, it’s pretty hard to ignore all that good stuff either way.
eXputer rated A Plague Tale: Requiem 3.5/5.0 in its review, speaking at length about the title’s captivating characters and their respective performances. The thriller is a whole 50% off at the moment, so you better not sleep on this one.

2. Dead Island 2
- Release Date: April 21, 2023
- Genre: Open-World, Action, Zombie Survival
- Developer: Dambuster Studios
Since Dying Light 2 isn’t on sale right now, you’ll have to make do with this one. Just kidding. Dead Island 2 is a fantastic title on its own and really worth picking up from what I’ve seen and experienced so far. It’s super messed up (mostly in ways that work), overly chaotic, and just chock-full of zombie slaying.
I won’t say the reviews don’t do it justice — because they do — but at $38.49, it’s a fairly entertaining game that you can play the heck out of and not get bored.

3. Dead Space
- Release Date: January 27, 2023
- Genre: Survival Horror
- Developer: Motive Studio
Credit where it’s due, Motive Studio, under the publishing hand of EA, has done a bang-up job with the revival of an all-time survival horror classic, remaking it from the ground up while staying mindful of the original’s core values.
eXputer’s review of the Dead Space remake labels it a masterclass in the horror genre of today, highlighting its fantastic atmosphere and great gameplay. It’s 50% off right now; I wouldn’t miss it had I not gone through it earlier.

4. Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection
- Release Date: October 10, 2021
- Genre: Action
- Developer: Koei Tecmo Games
The Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection is a fine gathering of three, top-tier Ninja Gaiden games that I personally fell in love with the moment I played them the first time. The bundle is retailing for $33 right now, which I believe is fantastic pricing for a trio of titles of this stature.
The graphics may come across as old-school, but when you’ve got gameplay as good as the Ninja Gaiden games, the visuals are merely a pain point. Don’t sleep on this one, it’s top advice.

5. Red Dead Redemption 2
- Release Date: October 26, 2018
- Genre: Open-World, Action-Adventure, Third-Person
- Developer: Rockstar Games
Get that giant of a rock off you if you have yet to experience the novelty that Red Dead Redemption 2 by Rockstar Games is. An enormous open world followed by great gunplay, an extremely gripping narrative, and specks of high-quality game development dispersed all across the in-game west make this venture worth getting into.
You can actually get it for less than $20 from the Xbox Store right now. Whether Nintendo, Steam, or PlayStation, whenever this one goes on sale, I can’t help but recommend it to everyone out there—that’s how good this game is.

6. Titanfall® 2: Ultimate Edition
- Release Date: October 28, 2016
- Genre: First-Person Shooter, Multiplayer
- Developer: Respawn Entertainment
Hailed as one of the greatest first-person shooter franchises of all time, Titanfall 2 is straight-up a 10/10 video game, although one whose fanbase is long-demanding a sequel. Everything from the combat, the story writing and overall gameplay is bursting at the seams with quality here, and it’s hard
And even though Titanfall 2 came out back in 2016, make no mistake that it still holds its own well in the shooter genre, with thousands of players clocking in every day.
The game’s a whopping 85% off right now, so I doubt you’ll regret spending $4.99 on an FPS of this standard.

7. Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Release Date: October 5, 2023
- Genre: Action-Adventure, Free Roam
- Developer: Ubisoft Bordeaux
Coming off as Ubisoft’s biggest next-gen launch at present, I really believe you should pick up Assassin’s Creed Mirage for the level of creative freedom it brings to the table, especially after a long drought of Assassin’s Creed games that stopped feeling as true to their core.
eXputer’s review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage holds the action-adventure in high regard, praising its gripping narrative and excellent parkour. At $29.99, it’s hard to go wrong with a title as high-quality as this.
