Andariel made her first appearance in Diablo 2 and now she is back to terrorize players once again in Diablo 4. Many players have reported having a ton of trouble with this boss and she may even be the first real challenge that will players will come across in Diablo 4. Andareil is the final boss of Act IV and appears in the quest Anguish Incarnate. Therefore one must know how to defeat Andariel Diablo 4 if they even wish to make it past Act IV.
- Andariel hits exceptionally hard, so it’s crucial not to get greedy and take your time with the boss fight.
- Stay within the arena during the battle to avoid damage from the sandstorm.
- In the first phase, Andariel uses the Rune Chain attack, an AOE attack, and fire skulls.
- Dodge the AOE and fire skulls by moving out of their way.
- Be cautious of the Rune Chain attack, which can trap players within its radius; be ready to dodge quickly.
- In the second phase, Andariel attacks with a chain. Wait for her to attack, dodge, get behind her, and then start your counterattack.
How To Defeat Andariel?

Throughout the fight, a crucial reminder is to avoid excessive greed. Andariel hits exceptionally hard, and the last thing you want is to lose this battle of endurance at the very end.
Andariel Phase 1
- Upon entering the arena, Andariel’s arms are chained.
- Key attacks include Rune Chains, fire skulls, and an AOE attack.
- Focus on defense initially to learn attack patterns.
- Dodge fire skulls by running around the arena.
- Avoid AOE attack by steering clear of red lines on the ground.
- Watch for Rune Chains; be prepared to dodge as they trap you.
- Prioritize dodging over breaking Rune Chains if AOE attack is imminent.
Andariel Phase 2
- Andariel breaks chains, transitioning to phase 2.
- Seize the opportunity to unleash powerful attacks during transition.
- In phase 2, Andariel gains an additional chain attack.
- Her primary attack becomes swinging the chain.
- Notice her preparation to swing the chain to prepare your dodge.
- Focus on dodging and attacking until the end of the fight.
