As said before, there are two mounts in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, and Ikran is the best one, in my opinion. You will unlock Ikran first before getting the Direhorse, so not only do you get it early, but it is better in all aspects. However, Ikran won’t go to all places, such as during the Wandering Clan quest; you will have to leave it behind.
During that mission, you will figure out how to tame the Direhorse, which is necessary for the quest. While Direhorses are fast on the plains, Ikran dominates the competition to become the best. I have given Ikran the best mount for traversal award due to how exponentially fast it is. You can cover miles so early. Direhorses run fast on the ground, but in my opinion, Ikran covers the distance more quickly due to the fact that it can fly.
The following are the pros and cons of Ikran I figured out after playing Avatar Frontiers of Pandora for over 20 hours:
- Ikran can travel from one place to another extremely fast.
- You can fly through the sky, which allows you to reach the destination faster.
- Unlike Direhorse, Ikran is your permanent mount, which you can summon most of the time.
- You can unlock Ikran’s skills, pet, name it, and customize it accordingly.
- I honestly couldn’t think of anything wrong with Ikran; it is meant for flying, so not traveling on plain grounds can be bad with it.
How To Get Ikran
Ikran is one of the best mounts, but you won’t have to wait a long time to get it. You just have to reach the Take Flight quest in order to get it. You will have to complete the Trial to get Ikran, but it isn’t going to be as easy as you’d expect.
It involves parkour, which wouldn’t be that hard, but you can easily get lost. However, eventually, you will be able to complete the quest, so after that, name and customize the best mount in-game.
My Thoughts On Ikran
There are only two mounts so far, and according to my experience, Ikran is the best choice.
You can get the Direhorse randomly when traveling through a plain surface. In missions like Wandering Clan, you can’t use Ikran, so the Direhorse helps a lot there. So, both mounts are necessary in the story, but if I had to pick, I would always go with Ikran. You can customize it, name it, unlock its skills, and the best thing is that you can fly, thanks to Ikran.
