Elden Ring Uchigatana Location Walkthrough

The following is the step-by-step walkthrough on how to get Uchigatana, along with my recommendations.

The Uchigatana is hands down one of the best katanas you can find early on in the Elden Ring. It scales so well with the dexterity stat it is safe to say that the developers created it explicitly for players with dexterity build as their main character attribute. So, players might be wondering about Uchigatana’s location in the Elden Ring.

Key Takeaways
  • The Uchigatana, a fan-favorite katana, is found in the optional Deathtouched Catacombs dungeon in Limgrave.
  • In the catacombs, locate a locked door early on, unlocked with a lever.
  • This lever opens a hidden corridor opposite the boss room stairs; navigate through until you find a hole in the left wall.
  • Through the hole, discover the Uchigatana, guarded by an archer skeleton.
  • To wield the Uchigatana, meet the stat requirements of 11 Strength and 15 Dexterity.

Uchigatana Katana Location In Elden Ring

The exact location to find Uchigatana is an optional dungeon named Deathtouched Catacombs, located in the Limgrave region.

Navigating the catacomb is not really much of a challenge as it is pretty linear, closed, and straightforward. In order to reach the Deathtouched catacomb, you first need to get to the Saints Bridge site of grace.

Warmaster's Shack

From the Saint’s Bridge site of Grace, travel west in the direction of Stormviel castle. Once you spot the Warmaster’s Shack, go there and rest on the connected site of Grace.

Once rested, make your way north across the forest and look for a bunch of high rocks to your right side. Climb the rocks and look for a brightly illuminated ghostly figure sitting just beside him as the entrance to your desired dungeon.

Black Knife Assassin

The challenges of the Deathtouched catacomb include a bunch of respawning skeleton warriors and a mini-boss Black Knife Assassin. The mini-boss is optional, so you don’t really need to beat him in order to get the Uchigatana. But he does drop Assassin’s crimson dagger, which is pretty good, so beating him is worth it.

The dungeon can seem a bit claustrophobic at first, but in reality, it is pretty small and straightforward. Upon entering the dungeon, you will find another site of grace. Resy there and head down the stairs, where you will encounter a locked door; behind this door is the Uchigatana.

Now that you’ve finally acquired the katana of your dreams, it is about time that you take a look at its requirements, too, so you can actually wield it efficiently. You need a total of eleven levels in strength and fifteen levels in dexterity.

My Recommendations

I would recommend you to go with the Samurai class and then find the other Uchigatana for a deadly build.

The weapon is extremely good, but it can be enhanced even more. As Uchigatana is a bleed weapon, I would recommend you use the Seppukku Ash of War on both of the Katanas for massive blood loss build. It will allow you to annihilate most of the enemies in the Elden Ring.

That is almost everything you would want to know about the Elden Ring Uchigatana Location guide.  You should also consider taking a look at the other guide, which shows how to obtain the Moonviel Katana Blade.
