SOLVED: MW3 Daily Challenges Not Working

I Had MW3 Daily Challenge Issues, Possibly Due To Bugs, But Found Fixes By Doing Zombie Mode Challenges And Verifying Game Files.

In MW3, the daily and weekly challenges weren’t functioning for me as intended. Many players on Steam Forum thought it was a bug in the game causing this issue. This problem is annoying because these challenges give you rewards such as perks, a huge necessity in a COD game.

I checked the official Call of Duty Updates Twitter account, but they still need to mention this problem. However, I tried a few things to fix it.

This is a bug in Modern Warfare 3 where you will attempt the challenges as instructed, but they won’t register them. Such as, you attempt the challenge “Get 20 Operator Kills with Assault Rifles,” but the game won’t count the kills; this is the problem at hand.

Key Highlights

The following may cause daily challenges problem in MW3:

  • In-game Bug
  • Files Not Properly Installed
  • Bad System Design

How to Fix the Daily Challenges Problem in MW3:

  • Complete the Challenges in Zombie Mode
  • Verifying Integrity of Game Files
  • Understanding the System

Complete The Challenges in Zombie Mode

Precaution: This method might take longer than others, but it’s a valid fix if you want to unlock stuff.

The MW3 daily challenges were not working, even though I had completed them before. After a quick look on Reddit, I discovered some other players were also facing the same issue

So, I tried playing in the Zombies mode, where I completed some challenges without really focusing on them. After that, when I returned to multiplayer and started winning games, I started earning armoury points again.

It turns out that you can work on your daily challenges in the Zombies mode to unlock things, even if your challenges in multiplayer aren’t working.

Verifying Integrity of Game Files

Another simple yet effective fix you can try for the MW3 daily challenge is to verify the integrity of the game files. This process involves the game checking its files for errors or missing components and automatically fixing them.

Once you start this verification process, the game will review the files and repair any issues. As a result, your problem with the daily challenges will be fixed. This straightforward fix will allow you to continue enjoying the game and getting the rewards from daily challenges as intended.

Misunderstanding The System

You’ll find 58 crucial challenges for unlocking various items like weapons, attachments, perks, and killstreaks. These challenges are hidden behind your daily challenges, but there’s a catch:

  • You need to reach at least level 25 to access these challenges.
  • You can only have three daily challenges each day.
  • It’s essential to have the specific challenge active and not in the queue because progress won’t count otherwise.

Here’s the kicker: To unlock some of these items, you might need to complete as many as 8 or more daily challenges.

My Thoughts On This Error Fix

Looking back, dealing with the Mw3 daily challenge not working was frustrating because they’re crucial for the game. The issue has been voiced a lot by players on Reddit and forums. As previously mentioned, Call of Duty devs have not yet been aware of the issue as it’s very recent, so it might take them a while to deal with it. Still, I found solutions that worked for me.
