LEGO Fortnite: Do Items Despawn?

LEGO and Fortnite, two entities known for their unique and creative style, have joined forces in a collaboration. The game offers unique survival-style gameplay with the imaginative universe of LEGO’s building blocks. With it being a survival-based game, a question arises, do your items despawn after some time?

Do Items Despawn In LEGO Fortnite?

Your items in LEGO Fortnite, when you drop them, glow which makes it easier to find them, especially at night. But from past experiences of other survival-based games, a question arises, Do items Despawn? For that, I tested it out by spending all night killing skeletons.

You can try this too but keep in mind that at night it gets cold, especially when it is raining, which is a very neat detail, according me, in this game. So, staying close to a campfire is a better idea, which you can build using the build button at the bottom left of the screen. 

To my surprise, the items do not despawn. They stay where they were even if you go far from them. After killing all the skeletons, I searched for the Lava Caves. After returning from the cave, all the skeleton bones were in the same spot where they were dropped. But when I returned to the lobby and rejoined my world, all the items were despawned. But my teammate’s backpack was still there where she dropped it.

My Thoughts On This

However, it is a good thing that you do not lose your items unless you close the game. But in my opinion, it makes the players clumsy. They will not keep things in an organized way. I would suggest that players keep the items in a chest so that things stay organized. 

With that, you’re done knowing everything about the question: do items Despawn? All things aside, I liked this game mode. The fun, colorful style of LEGO and all of Fortnite’s sound effects and characters make it a fun experience.
