Lords of the Fallen draws upon mechanics familiar to souls-like fans, but this dark fantasy RPG distinguishes itself by introducing innovative concepts in character building. Lords of the Fallen offers various playstyles from the beginning, leading to a variety of character builds with different stats, weapons, and gear.
- In Lords of the Fallen, players can make so many character builds.
- All builds require different weapons, shields, ranged weapons, amulets, and rings.
- The advantage of making a character’s build is that it defines how your character performs and the playstyle you prefer.
- The disadvantage is that you need to acquire specialized gear items to curate a build that is effective, which can take a lot of testing and could be exhausting.

1. Best Strength Build
- Why I Chose This: I chose this build due to its high damage output and its ability to stagger many enemies.
If you’re a fan of wielding massive swords, hammers, and other bone-crushing weapons, Lords of the Fallen provides everything you need to create a powerful strength-based character. With numerous enemies to face, the broad, sweeping attacks of strength-based weapons can swiftly deal with angry mobs, especially in the Umbral realm.

2. Best Agility Build
- Why I Chose This: This build allows players to utilize their dodging skills and get the better of the enemy with some decent damage.
Agility builds offer a versatile way to approach Lords of the Fallen. In this game, agility builds excel when using ranged weapons to take down tough foes or thin out groups of enemies before unleashing a rapid flurry of daggers or short swords.
Moreover, dual-wielding is overpowered, and agility builds excel in this style. Ranged weapons like the Bow of the Convert and throwing daggers can help you thin out enemy ranks before engaging, and ammunition management is convenient in Lords of the Fallen.

3. Best Radiance Build
- Why I Chose This: The best Radiance build not only deals great amounts of damage but there are spells that can be used for defense.
If you enjoy killing your foes and healing your allies, a radiance build is perfect for you. Radiance build is easily the most balanced of all Lord of the Fallen best builds. Radiance magic is the easiest type to use, offering more than just healing, and it ensures your survival as you explore Mournstead.
The best class for a radiance build is the Orian Preacher. Additionally, you can purchase Pieta’s Sword, one of the best Radiant-scaling weapons in-game.

- Ranged builds might get a little boring.
4. Best Inferno Build
- Why I Chose This: I chose this Inferno build due to its massive damage in the early game that can potentially become massive later on.
While not as straightforward as radiance magic, inferno magic in Lords of the Fallen offers a range of useful abilities. It includes buffs to boost your damage, reduce incoming damage, and push enemies away, all accompanied by fiery lava plumes. It may take some time to reach its full potential, but well-timed fireballs can melt many challenging bosses.
After finishing Pilgrim’s Perch, you can buy Adyr’s Rage from a character named Damarose. After that, you should consider increasing either strength or agility to wield a practical weapon like the Sin Piercer’s Sword to complement your fireballs. In the later stages of the game, this build becomes more powerful.

- Various build options.
- Inferno spells are difficult to obtain.
- There are not many Inferno weapons available.
- Lacks defense.
5. Best Umbral Build
- Why I Chose This: This Umbral build has the potential to dish out extreme damage as you can shift from Radiance to Inferno whenever you want to.
Lastly, one of Lords of the Fallen Best Build, the Umbral build, or the multi-magic build, does not rely on a single stat or magic school but rather combines various elements. This unique approach embraces the dual-scaling spells of Umbral magic, which draw power from both Radiance and Inferno.
In essence, the Umbral build represents the ultimate magic build, harnessing various types of magic for a powerful spellcaster. Thanks to its dual-scaling nature, the stat allocation offers more flexibility compared to other builds in the game, which focus on specific strengths.
