New Alan Wake 2 Update 1.0.13 Brings New Game+, New Ending, And More

After much patience and expectations from the fans, Remedy Entertainment has finally released the new Alan Wake 2 update 1.0.13. The latest update adds the New Game Plus mode dubbed Final Draft. It unlocks a new ending, the ability to retain weapons, new manuscripts, video content, a new nightmare difficulty level, and more. The devs have also touched on the game’s performance, visuals, and tutorials on all available platforms.

In NG+, you will be able to retain your weapons after finding the first shoebox. Items will also stay in your inventory after starting anew from the beginning, including upgrades, videos, and charms. The entry will also acknowledge the minuscule yet effective progress made in each iteration, and no round will feel worthless; you could collect all the collectibles that were skipped so far.

On the flip side, most visual improvements are area-specific; the trailer park cinematic lighting was improved, for instance. The shadow quality in the Valhalla nursing home has also been enhanced “to respect the elderly even more.” The audio will also sound much better across the PS5. Additionally, there has been a slew of bug and glitch fixes along the way.
