Armored Core 6: Fires Of Rubicon preview is finally out in the wild, revealing plenty of details about the highly anticipated series reboot. While the release date is still far away, a roundup for the Armored Core 6 preview presentation is a quick way of judging what awaits the excited fans. The new gameplay has amped up the eager users, as many got to see a detailed look into the combat and movement system for the first time.

Many media outlets had an opportunity to watch a hands-off half an hour gameplay presentation, where the first mission from lead producer Yasunori Ogura was shown. The gameplay revealed the tactical combat along with the mech assembly feature. The tweet by the user @Okami13_ sums up all the tidbits that have been confirmed in the title preview, like the authentic mech feeling that can be felt by just watching the gameplay.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will reportedly focus on the verticality of levels while soaring freely through the linearly-designed missions to deal with the challenging enemies. The massive environments are designed for the players to aviate through the levels instead of only trekking the ground. Moreover, the level design perfectly mixes the worn-out exteriors with the natural terrain, creating an esthetical eye candy to relish during gameplay.

While challenges are sprinkled through and through in the upcoming mech title, the devs have integrated many methods to deal with them. For example, enemies moving and firing at breakneck speeds can be overwhelmed by using a booster in combat. Plenty of long and short-range melee options are included to fend off foes in Armored Core 6.

FromSoftware has also added different approaches to missions, letting players enjoy the game at their discretion. Lastly, according to the preview presentation shown to a few outlets, the team has also put a great emphasis on customization and mech management; it is as easy as tweaking the mech right after dying from the menu.

While FromSoftware has confirmed that the game will not add the Souls-like formula to Armored Core 6, the remnants are still present in the first mission during the gameplay presentation, as per a few reports. Moreover, the game is not open-world since the devs did not want it to resemble Elden Ring. It undoubtedly preserves the olden series formula to create a unique and indelible experience.
