Story Highlights

  • Fans can save $20 and get the deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 for free by just purchasing the base game before it launches on August 3.
  • The digital deluxe edition contains an item pack based on Divinity: Original Sin, an adventure pouch, a Digital OST, and much more.
  • This offer is only available on PC, as the $80 deluxe edition is retailing on the PS Store ahead of its release on September 7, 2023.

Through a new deal, Larian Studios is giving fans a free upgrade to the digital deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 if they buy it on any day before August 3. This brilliant offer, however, has one catch; it only applies to the PC edition of the game and anyone who wants to play the RPG on consoles won’t be able to take advantage of it. But, if you are going to purchase Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC and want to save $20, you need to act quickly.

As the name suggests, the deluxe edition of the RPG is only available digitally and isn’t purchasable through any physical means. First up among the contents of the $80 deluxe edition is the Bard song pack which will contain a special set of new songs that will “astound audiences” as per the official listing on the PlayStation store. Unsurprisingly, this version of the Baldur’s Gate 3 will also ship with the base game present inside.

Moving on, the deluxe edition will contain an exclusive dice theme that will let you roll checks with some style. In addition, many paintings from Rivellon will be a part of this package and let you discover many art pieces across the forgotten realms. Players will also obtain an adventure pouch filled with camp supplies and portions in Baldur’s Gate 3’s deluxe version, giving them a head start in their journey.

Next up, the digital OST of the Larian Studios RPG composed by Borislav Slavov is one of the extras present in the digital deluxe edition. Furthermore, fans will be able to enjoy and explore the art and design of Baldur’s Gate 3 through an exclusive digital art book written by the developer. A D&D character sheet for each origin character in the game is also one of the features of the deluxe edition and it will be four-page long.

In addition, by pre-ordering Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC and getting this deluxe edition, fans will also gain an item pack from the world of Divinity: Original Sin. In this pack, you will find a Cape of the Red Prince, which is a cloak inspired by the red prince in the game Divinity: Original Sin II. Fans will also discover the mask of the shapeshifter in this pack, which is a headgear that allows you to change race and appearance on the fly.

Furthermore, the Lute of the Merryweather Bard (a playable instrument inspired by the Lohse of Divinity: Original Sin II), the needle of the outlaw rogue (a dagger inspired by Sebille of Divinity: Original Sin II), and the bicorne of the sea beast (Headgear inspired by Beast of Divinity: Original Sin II) will all be up for grabs via the digital deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3.

Currently, this version of the RPG is only on sale on the PlayStation Store and will only retail for PC after the game launches on August 3, when the offer ends. Hence, if you want to get all the features of the $80 digital deluxe edition by only buying a $60 base game, buy Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC right now. The much anticipated RPG will launch on PlayStation 5 on September 7 after its PC release this August.
