Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is measuring up to be a promising action RPG, taking into account all that we’ve seen so far. Expanding on its real-time character-switching mechanic, the game has received a new gameplay breakdown trailer by developer Don’t Nod and publisher Focus Entertainment, diving deep into the intricacy of the title’s combat and showing players how it’s done.
A total of five different sections were highlighted in the gameplay trailer, starting from The Lands of New Eden which showcases the in-game world and its diverse environments, and ending with Antea’s Spectral Abilities—an action-focused sequence that calls attention to the powers of one of the protagonists and how they can help the player in both navigation and combat.
It seems to me that exploration is going to be encouraged in Ghosts of New Eden, given the depth of diversity involved. However, arguably the most interesting part of the trailer is the one that sheds some light on the choices-based gameplay style that exemplifies how the player will meet consequences to the decisions they make in-game.
Last time, though, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden received a trailer that cast a lens on its narrative focus, illustrating the major conflict between the two lovers Red and Antea, and teasing the culmination of the story as well. To give you the gist of it, both the central characters are Banishers, which is a job that specializes in relieving the undead from the waking world, but when Antea dies, Red must go against the Banisher code for the sake of his love.

Don’t Nod’s latest venture is eyeing a February 13 release date for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC which is quite on the money considering the game’s overall premise. However, the original launch day for the title was November 7 until that prospect got switched up with something that seemed more comfortable competition-wise for the developer.
Pre-orders for the RPG are live and can be checked out from the official site. Note that there are three different purchasable editions to Ghosts of New Eden, so pick your variant with good caution.
