Battlefield 2042 Season 3 Details Accidentally Leaked By Devs

The details were leaked in official Chinese promo of the season.

It has been almost a year since Battlefield 2042 was released on 19th November 2021. Considered a stain on the franchise’s legacy, the game received the lowest reviews for a Battlefield title.

Now the game is looking to make a comeback with the launch of Season 3, and from the looks of it, the devs have accidentally leaked the updates they are looking to introduce next season.

MAJOR TAKEAWAYS

  • Details of Battlefield 2042’s upcoming season 3 have been accidentally leaked by EA in the description of the Chinese promo of the season.
  • According to the leak, the devs are introducing a new special-class character, Rashid Zain, along with a tank and three weapons.
  • The details were later removed.
  • Battlefield 2042 season 3 is expected to begin by the end of November.

The details of the next season’s features were spotted by netizens in the description of the Chinese version of Season 3’s promo video on YouTube. Battlefield YouTube channel later edited the description and removed the details.

According to the leaks on YouTube, the devs are looking to introduce a new specialist, Rashid Zain. He will also bring his XM370A semi-automatic airburst rifle with him. He will also have the special power of healing after he eliminates an enemy. The rifle also has the power to shoot through strong barriers.

The developers of Battlefield 2042, DICE, also plan to introduce a new vehicle, a tank named EMKV90-TOR, along with two other weapons, a Roche Mk-4 railgun and an NVK-S22 smart shotgun. The shotgun will give the player the ability “to take two-pronged shots at the enemy.”

Battlefield 2042’s publisher and developer, EA and DICE, respectively, are looking to revive the game. Just back in June, it was claimed by an insider that “Battlefield 2042 Is Down To A Skeleton Crew.”

They claim to have listened to the criticism from fans. And have announced that with the impending 3rd season of the game and the season, they will bring about changes that will surely be to the satisfaction of Battlefield fans.

They also claim to be already working on 4th season of Battlefield 2042. Where the game will see major and fundamental changes to its gameplay. EA hopes that these changes will help rejuvenate the game.

Battlefield 2042’s 3rd season will begin at the end of November. They have also announced free access period across all platforms in December. They hope that this will boost the game’s player base.

Whether or not these changes be able to save Battlefield 2042, no one knows. But one thing is certain, this looks like EA’s last-ditch attempt to save the game from ultimately shutting down.

Will these changes be able to save Battlefield 2042? Discuss in the comments section below.
