Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Can Already Be Played Locally

It appears that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fans have already figured out ways to access the locked multiplayer mode but with a caveat. It can only be accessed locally and is limited in features. However, a certain method has allowed users to explore all the features hidden in the offline local mode. It is an important feature that can allow players to gain an advantage over the others who wait for it to unlock on time.

As shared and clarified by the Call of Duty insider @charlieINTEL, the local multiplayer can be played in the offline local mode. However, Activision has its eyes set on anyone with a prepared DMCA strike for users who dare to post any content from the locked mode.

Activision is DMCA-ing all content that is shared, but if you want to get a head start of some of the maps, see the weapons.. etc. It works.

Certain steps need to be followed in order to get access to the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer mode in local play. While connecting to servers, quickly back out and wait for the error message. The “connection failed” message will give users an option to sneakily go offline. The method appears to be working on both consoles according to Charlie.

To play MW3 MP in local play:

When you start to connect to servers, back out and get the error message of Connection Failed and hit Go Offline.

Works on PlayStation and Xbox.

While the multiplayer modes are a big deal, the campaign has currently attracted the most attention from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans. It is smaller in size —for undisclosed reasons— compared to the past releases and only lasts 3-4 hours.
