- A notable industry insider claims that the Damian Wayne Batman game’s cancellation was not due to leaks.
- The claim was previously made by Josh Keaton who was reportedly voicing Damian Wayne.
- An official announcement is yet to be made by Warner Bros.
Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg reporter revealed on X that the leaks were not the reason for the Damian Wayne Batman game’s cancellation as claimed by Josh Keaton. Josh Keaton, a famous voice actor revealed in a Twitch livestream (skip to 01:19:48) that he was set to play Damian Wayne in a Batman game before it got canceled due to leaks.
Warner Bros. Games Montreal was reportedly working on a Damian Wayne Batman game in 2016 after the cancellation of a Suicide Squad game. Josh, who seemingly voiced Damian claimed that the main reason the game got canceled was the leaks.
It was a bummer. They leaked everything. They leaked the whole plotline. They leaked not only the enemies and villains and the rogues gallery but also the concept art for them and they were doing such a different take on so many of the rogues gallery. It gave away everything that was different about the game. So it kind of sucked. The leaks killed the project,” said Josh.
He also mentioned that the leaked Batman game would have been a different thing and the fact it was not a part of Arkhamverse. Jason Schreier, a reporter for Bloomberg and New York Times best-selling author was quick to jump in on the scene to address the situation. He tweeted on X saying that leaks were not the reason for Damian Wayne Batman’s cancellation.
This story is getting a lot of traction, but it's not true — WB Montreal's Damian Wayne game was not canceled because of leaks. pic.twitter.com/5MAoLoQ9ih
