New Forza Horizon 5 Update Introduces Features For The High Performance Series

Playground Games has rolled out a new patch for the racing game to prepare for the upcoming series.

Developer Playground Games has recently released a new patch filled with fresh updates for Forza Horizon 5. This new update prepares the game for the upcoming “High Performance” series and adds several new features to the racing sim. All the platforms including Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series S, PC, and Steam can download this patch right now which has a lot of new upgrades as per the patch notes.

First up, some features added via this Forza Horizon 5 update will be available as soon as you download it. These include the Permanent Oval Circuit Road Race, which is also available with a dedicated Rivals Leaderboard, 21 accolades, and 3 badges. In addition, this patch has removed requirements to bind the ANNA/Forza link when creating custom controller profiles.

On PC, Intel XeSS Super Sampling is now present in Forza Horizon 5 as a temporal up-scaling solution. Furthermore, skin tone colors will be available for hearing aids and prosthetics. An EventLab Piñata Helmet prop has also been added to the racing simulator via this update. Moving on, some new features will only be accessible from April 28th to May 25th in the game.

If you are unaware, this is the duration of the “High Performance” Series and these upgrades are exclusive to it. These features include the Freeroam Oval Circuit in the stadium. Four Returning speed traps including Horizon Baja, East Resort, Tulum, and Pantano Pass will be available in the racing title. In addition, you can also access three Returning Speed Zones namely Green Hills, River Run, and Piñata Helmet collectible in Forza Horizon 5.

New unlockable cars include the 2021 Audi RS 6 Avant, the 2021 Porsche MissionR, and the 2020 Lamborghini Huracàn STO. Next up, many bug fixes are also a part of this new Forza Horizon 5 update per the patch notes. In general fixes, the issue preventing the game from marking roads as discovered will no longer bother players. The patch has also fixed the issue where the HUD would remain stuck at the center of the screen.

Moving on to cars, roll cages will now display correctly when you apply a StreetFighter LA bodykit from now on. The bug incorrectly displaying the 1964 Emory 356 C as the model year 1960 has been rectified in Forza Horizon 5. In accolades, the “Photogenic” accolade will display the correct number in the description moving forwards. Furthermore, a location bug in the “Change of Scenery” has been set right through this new patch.

Multiplayer mode has also got some bug fixes including those for the Festival Outpost display during races. The issue preventing players from using the Rewind feature after finishing an Eliminator match has also been rectified. For Rally Adventure, you can complete the “Azrate Sprint Challenge” and “Forest Trail Master” without a hitch now.

In addition, this update has fixed a bug not allowing the achievement on Steam and the Xbox app to match. The Ford Focus RS will also be present in the Autoshow after you unlock it in Forza Horizon 5 now. Last but not least, this new update has fixed a series of issues with the VO.
