Remnant 2’s First Major Update Is Now Live On PlayStation 5

The first major update for Remnant 2 is now live on the PlayStation 5, bringing a wide array of quality-of-life changes, balance adjustments, and more. Following the release on PC last week, all of the implementations and balance tweaks can be found in the patch notes. The highlights include Nightfall being nerfed to be more in line with other Long Guns and some improvements to the Trait Cap.

Several quality-of-life changes have been implemented in the PlayStation 5 version of the game with the release of this patch. Some of these include the Tome of Knowledge granting Scrap and EXP when the player has reached the cap for Trait points. Additionally, the Trait Requirement for equipping a second Archetype has been removed. Players can now slot a second one as soon as they obtain an Engram at Wally.

Alongside the aforementioned adjustments, various bugs have also been addressed to improve Remnant 2. Issues involving the Hunter’s Focus, the Invader Perk S.H.A.R.K. not applying its damage bonuses, and Gunslinger’s Bulletstorm audio were resolved. A bug allowing Male Engineers to ignore the falling transition during an Overclock was patched as well.

Gear & item-related problems have been rectified with the latest patch for Remnant 2 as well. VFX alignment for Nebula and Hellfire’s primary fire was improved. An issue preventing the Plasma Cutter from inflicting its intended damage on some enemies will no longer affect gameplay. Moreover, boss and special melee weapons will now scale properly across the board.

In other news, game director David Adams has also confirmed that crossplay functionality is being actively worked on.
