The leak also suggests that the Silk spin-off game could cost $50.

Story Highlights

  • A new leak reveals that Insomniac Games has plans for a standalone Silk game.
  • Silk is the alter-ego of Cindy Moon who first appeared in “The Amazing Spider-Man” #1 in 2014.
  • The character could make an appearance in future DLC of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Ever since the massive leaks, Insomniac Games has been silent regarding the ransomware hack. Due to no response from the studio, many of its unannounced projects, including information about its upcoming highly anticipated title, Marvel’s Wolverine, have been discovered online. Besides that, one of the recent discoveries on Imgur reveals that the studio has plans for a Silk spin-off game.

Note: Due to potential spoilers regarding Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we advise everyone reading the rest of the article to proceed with caution.

For those unaware of Silk, she is the alter-ego of Cindy Moon who first appeared in “The Amazing Spider-Man#1 in 2014. Despite getting bitten by the same radioactive spider that bit Peter Parker, Cindy was the only one who received organic webbing. She even has another unique ability called the “Silk Sense” which allows her to detect danger more sharply than Peter’s Spider-Sense.

In the post-credits scene of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, after finishing his essay, Miles meets Albert Moon, Rio’s new boyfriend, who introduces them to his daughter, Cindy. While the scene faded to black after the reveal, it potentially confirmed that Cindy might play a role either in a DLC or receive a similar treatment like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Given the overwhelmingly positive reception of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 when it was released for the PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023, there’s no doubt we’ll see more of the character in the future. Similarly, in eXputer’s 4/5 review, the game was praised for its engaging story and combat while the open-world mini-games and enemy variety felt lacking.

At the end of the day, everything that has been revealed is always subject to change. By the time Insomniac Games releases the next Spider-Man-related game, these leaks might be out of date. Therefore, it is best to take this info with a grain of salt until official confirmations are made.
