While there have been rumors around for a new AAA project from Just Cause Developers, the new job listing confirms that they're working on it.

Just Cause Developers, Avalanche Studio Group recently posted a new job listing for the Platform Programmer Position. The job listing was published for the Malmö branch of the company based in Sweden.

The responsibilities from the job listing stated that the senior programmer would have to work on features such as save games, achievements, online multiplayer, DLC, and several other things.

From this, we know that the new AAA project from the developers of just cause will have to be an online multiplayer game. The unannounced game will also include several DLCs or expansions. The mention of the “user-generated content” may also suggest a sandbox mode in the upcoming game.

Furthermore, the job listing’s requirement also included that the programmer should have experience working with recent-generation PC and modern console APIs and some experience in console development across multiple platforms. This suggests that the upcoming game may be a cross-platform game.

Previously, it was rumored that the unannounced project Avalance Studio Group is working on might be Contraband by Xbox Game Studios. However, Contraband isn’t a cross-platform game. It is highly unlikely that this job listing is for the development of Contraband.

From what we know, Avalanche Studio Group is working on an open-world cross-platform multiplayer game. There are no more details about the unannounced project. But, it appears that the game is in the early stages of development, and we might see some official news in the next few months.
