Minecraft has produced an array of different spin-offs over the years that have left a mark on the franchise as a whole, with one of the most prominent ones being Minecraft Legends—a real-time strategy take on the series with an emphasis on a campaign mode as well. In recent times, developer Mojang Studios has released what it calls Minecraft Legends’ biggest update to date. For reference, the game was released about 7 months ago.

Yes, Minecraft Legends’ second title update has it all! With the frog and witches facing off against the piglin clangers and air choppers, the battle has never been more exciting,” reads the blog post announcing the latest patch. The gist of it is that outside all of the major improvements and balance adjustments, the update in question introduces new characters to the mix, along with additional game mechanics.

The latter includes The Cauldron—a specialized structure that boosts the stats of the nearby mobs that you’ve befriended—and The Air Chopper, which is something that makes for a faster and easier spread of pores in the in-game world. You’ve even got more Piglins to battle now, including the Clanger, which is deals an area-of-effect attack for stunning player mobs.

As per the latest Minecraft Legends patch, another mount has been added to the game for players to ride on, called the Frog Mount. “The fearless frog is now available in both campaign and versus. It can be found in swamps and along rivers,” say the patch notes. Mojang iterates that this particular mount has the highest possible jump height as compared to any other ridable entity in the title.

Outside of changes like these that offer additional content and features, the devs have introduced 10 new unlockable trophies that you’ll observe in the wake of exploring Overworld and Nether. Lastly, a quality-of-life tweak has been made, which will now make it possible to sort your acquired Heroes on the basis of their rarity. Mojang sure has done a number on Minecraft Legends this time around, that’s for sure.
