Far Cry has always brought something pristine to the plate of first-person shooting games. By blending a wild environment with heavy-duty weaponry and modern mechanics, this action-filled series is nothing short of an excellent joyride.
With the announcement of the next enthralling installment in the series, Ubisoft has taken to new measures with Far Cry 6. The game’s world premiere trailer dropped on July 12, 2020, which confirmed that a sequel was up and coming.
The initial release date for the game was expected to be on February 18, 2021, for all consoles including Google Stadia. That big prospect, unfortunately, couldn’t see the light of day and the highly-anticipated game ended up being delayed.
Up until now, several rumors have surfaced depicting the release date of Far Cry 6. One Twitter user spotted a Sweepstakes bundle of the game with Microsoft rewards that scheduled to release on the 6th of April, but to no avail, apparently.
Other inconclusive leaks have been also proved false. As of yet, there’s nothing concrete to follow regarding Far Cry 6, until and unless the news comes from Ubisoft directly.
Speaking of which, Ubisoft recently liberated crucial information in their financial earning report regarding the release of Far Cry 6 and another eagerly-awaited title – Rainbow Six Quarantine. According to the developer, our revolution-centric FPS has been given a release window that spans between April 2021 and March 2022.
Now that we’re nearing this window, it’s any day now when we will be blessed with official news or a gameplay reveal trailer perhaps. Sadly, Ted Timmins, the Game Design Director of Far Cry 6, has dismissed all hopes for soon-coming news and propelled them into dismay.
In a celebratory tweet regarding Easter, one fan asked Timmins about the gameplay of Far Cry 6. He replied, “Just for a bit longer, but we have exciting content to show. Hope you like it!”
Possible Time of Release For Far Cry 6
With the Coronavirus impeding work and business of everyone across the spectrum, more and more video game titles are getting the delay-boot lately. It’s only the most plausible approach to expect Far Cry 6 to release in early 2022, as Ted Timmins has also hinted at waiting for a bit more.
