Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown’s File Size Revealed

It's just a tad above 20 GB on the PlayStation 5.

Story Highlights

  • Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a brand-new side-scrolling platformer by Ubisoft Montpellier.
  • The game’s file size has now been revealed, just ahead of its official release date.
  • On the PlayStation 5, the game’s size clocks in at around 21.495 GB—a fairly decent figure.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is Ubisoft’s attempt at a fresh new Prince of Persia game with a unique direction, something uniquely different from the series’ previous iterations. It’s going to come out soon, with early access for the Deluxe Edition commencing tomorrow, and if you’ve been wondering about the title’s file size, a trusted insider has published new information to clarify things on that front.

So, on the PlayStation 5, you’ve got a 21.495 GB file size, and this I’m presuming is without the usual day-one update. The numbers look smaller on the side of the PlayStation 4, which will apparently host a sub-15 GB file size for The Lost Crown. There’s certainly a comparison here with other side-scrolling Metroidvanias and their sizes, including Hollow Knight, which is somewhere around 6 GB, and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Knight which clocks in at 10 GB more or less.

As for the pre-load dates, the original release of the game is scheduled for January 18, 2024, globally, but there are certain early access times as well that are at play here. For starters, those who pre-order The Lost Crown’s Standard Edition will be able to start pre-loading from January 16. Similarly, Deluxe Edition pre-order owners can embark on their adventure even sooner—specifically on January 13, which is even less than 24 hours from now.
