Moon Studios CEO Thomas Mahler recently took to Twitter to thank the fans who want to support the team and asked the community to try out the games. However, a fan questioned the need to purchase Ori and the Blind Forest and its sequel is necessary when they are already available on the Xbox Game Pass. Thomas has claimed that playing them on the subscription service does not help the studio.

The dev has mentioned that the best way to support Moon Studios is to purchase the titles. This has caused many gamers to raise eyebrows. One user has even questioned whether Game Pass is good for devs in the first place. The CEO replied that it is good for small devs who want recognition if their game blows up on the service. However, at this point, playing the Ori Games on Game Pass is not making any money for the studio.

It also remains unclear whether Ori games will ever arrive on the PlayStation consoles. However, the CEO has mentioned that it is not in his hands, suggesting fans ask Phil Spencer himself. Thomas also points out the benefits of releasing the entries on PlayStation amid the discussion. Bringing the indie titles to PlayStation would introduce more gamers to the popular franchise, among many other advantages.

The sequel Ori and the Will of the Wisps came out in March 2020 for PC and Xbox One, followed by a Nintendo Switch release. It also arrived on the Xbox Series X|S release as its launch title.
