Story Highlights
A leaked screenshot showcasing the Battle Pass and content from Overwatch 2 Season 7 has surfaced online. The image was posted on Reddit and has since then garnered a lot of traction. The screenshot shows a brand new map called Tupua, as well as a crossover event with Diablo, Blizzard’s action RPG game. The upcoming Battle Pass also has a Halloween theme, with the title being “Rise of Darkness“.
The original source of the leak is Bogur, a popular Overwatch 2 streamer. Streamers are usually given early access to upcoming content and it seems he accidentally logged into the wrong client while live on Twitch. Blizzard has not yet confirmed if the leak is credible, but it’s very likely true. And so, fans have already begun discussing the content of the Season 7 Battle Pass.
According to the leak, Tupua will be a Control map. Players have noticed the name and visuals for the map seem Polynesian. Previously, Mauga was a character who was teased to be from that region. There have been some recent updates teasing the character in one of the game’s maps. And so fans think Tupua’s addition could be hinting at Mauga finally making his way to Overwatch 2’s roster as a Tank character.
The leak also includes an image of the upcoming Mythic skin. These are high-quality customizable skins players can earn after purchasing a Battle Pass in Overwatch 2. From the looks of it, Hanzo will receive the Mythic skin in Season 7. While some players are excited to see Overwatch 2’s ninja trio each having a Mythic skin now, others have shared their disappointment with Blizzard’s choice.

As mentioned earlier, the leak also points towards a possible Diablo crossover coming soon. Fans even think they’ve spotted a Lilith Moira skin on the leaked banner. Overwatch 2 has started having Fortnite-style crossovers, with a recent one featuring the popular anime series One Punch Man. Players were speculating what the game’s next collab could look like, and now it’s clear it’s going to be with Diablo.
That said, Overwatch 2 already has a ton of Diablo-inspired skins. Because of this, some fans feel like this crossover event might be a bit underwhelming. That said, from the leaked screenshot, it looks like some PVE content will be included as a part of this update. Considering how much fans have been craving PVE encounters in Overwatch 2, the event might end up being exciting after all.
