The Millions Keep Coming For Palworld Across The Board

The latest milestone achieved is 7 million units sold.

Story Highlights

  • Palworld has been utterly successful over the short course of its latest release, scoring large numbers.
  • The game has now sold more than 7 million copies to date across the board for developer Pocketpair.
  • On Steam, Palworld is tearing up charts as it climbs up the ranks of the most concurrently played titles.

Palworld, a brand-new survival-oriented MMO infused with the spirit of Pokemon, is currently satiating the hunger of gamers that they never knew they even had. As of today, the title has sold more than a whopping 7 million units in just 5 days into its release, and the way this trajectory has been laid out, it looks like there’s no stopping the mountainous growth of the currently buzzing RPG.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) to make the celebratory announcement, the developer also affirms that it’s continually trying to iron out any issues that pop up for Palworld players. If you head over to the r/palworld subreddit, you can see how several have reported a diversity of different problems plaguing the experience, but tell you what, some of them are just outright funny. Take this soft landing for example

Yesterday, Pocketpair confirmed that it has released a new update for Xbox and Microsoft Store version PC players that takes care of numerous bugs. Earlier, it addressed server outage pangs that seemingly booted users out of their live sessions. But, of course, Palworld is only in early access, and the response that it has gone on to receive was certainly unexpected, both by the devs themselves and the players.

And as the success of Palworld marches ahead, the comparisons between this game and Pokemon keep coming as well. Some are on the side of the former, while others voice their opinion on the ethical concerns and the controversy surrounding Palworld. Amid all the drama, it’s hard to just side-step the fact that Palworld is a genuinely fun game and more than a mere imitation of the Pokemon franchise.

No Battle Pass. No MTX. No Cosmetic shop. No paywalls. Just a fun game. PalWorld deserves every bit of praise and success.

On a side note, Palworld is set to receive more gameplay features in the near future, including a dedicated PvP or Arena mode that will have contestants battling out with each other, “major building system updates,” Raid Boss fights, and more. You should also know that Pocketpair initially plans on keeping Palworld in early access for 1 year, so expect a ton of improvements down the road.
