Palworld Has Rolled Over A Whopping 6 Million Units In 4 Days

Palworld’s rapidly increasing sales success is something that has taken the whole industry aback, rolling over millions and millions as the days go by. About 12 hours ago, I reported that the game has sold about 5 million copies, and now, there’s another glaring update on this front, with the officials confirming that the aforementioned figure has been kicked up by another change in the first digit, making the total sales cross the 6 million milestone.

This incredibly strong start for a game that’s still in early access paints a great future for Palworld, that’s for sure. And as far as the number of players on Steam is concerned, the game appears to be tearing up charts on Valve’s platform as well, thereby becoming the highest-played paid title on Steam with a player count stretching to 1.58 million. 

These figures put Palworld right in the top 3 list of games with the highest all-time player count peak in Steam’s history, trailing just behind the mammoths Counter-Strike 2 and PUBG. For a title that came out of nowhere and had little to no hype to its name, simply because most of us wrote it off as a meme game, Palworld has done exceptionally well, taking into account all that it brings to the table.

On a side note, since the MMO shooter is currently bursting at the seams with hordes of players, there are server outages that occasionally pop up, impeding playability. Do stick around for Pocketpair to sort that out, along with other glitches, such as Xbox players launching to a “static black screen” and Microsoft Store version PC gamers encountering an array of other bugs.

Palworld came out on January 19, 2024, for the Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and PC Game Pass in early access. There’s no PlayStation 5 version of the game yet, but Pocketpair says that it will consider it “during development.” eXputer’s 4.5/5.0 review of the third-person shooter holds it in high regard, remarking its well-designed open world, great exploration, and challenging combat.
