Palworld, a new third-person survival-based shooter by Pocketpair, has shot up in terms of popularity over the course of its release, amassing millions of players across the board. The developer, in an attempt to keep the gameplay experience fresh and in tandem with the best interests of the game’s user base, has released a new patch, titled v0.1.5.0, for PC players, with an Xbox version being in the works as well.

We are currently working on an issue where auto-save fails on the Xbox and Xbox Game Pass versions. We expect that this will be resolved in an upcoming update. We will continue development placing top priority on fixing major problems and issues. Thank you for your continued support of Palworld,” reads the patch’s announcement on Palworld’s official Discord.

The update seemingly resolves major save data issues, while making other noteworthy adjustments to Palworld, such as adding keyboard key configuration, and taking advanced measures against cheating while featuring the “ability to view online players on a dedicated server.” Furthermore, a deluge of fixes has been rolled out for base-related issues as well.

  • Implemented backup of save data on the world selection screen
  • Resolved issue of unnecessary data accumulating in save data

In other news, developer Pocketpair recently released some much-awaited statistics pertaining to the performance of the third-person shooter, confirming that the total number of players has exceeded 25 million within a month of the title’s release. 15 million of those are encompassed by Steam, while the rest are on Xbox platforms. Fairly wild, considering there’s no PlayStation port as well as of yet.
