Player Discovers Infinite Trick Glitch In Spider-Man 2

Some bugs are in players' favor, y'know.

Story Highlights

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been bug-free for the most part following its release.
  • A few bugs, however, allow the player to turn the tide in their favor, quite contrarily.
  • A player has found a way to do an infinite number of in-air tricks due to a persistent bug.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a stunning new entry for Insomniac Games, raising the bar more than ever before for PlayStation’s swath of first-party exclusive titles. The game’s incredibly well-made and emphasizes heavily on traversal in New York City for the two Spider-Men, but it seems that the sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, despite all its glory, still isn’t 100% immune to bugs and glitches.

A Redditor going by the name of u/nivalnaut is seen running up the Avengers Tower, which is located in the Upper East Side district, in the following clip. As they reach the surface and start to zip forward, the launch-back mechanic seems to be put in motion, followed by attempting to perform an in-air trick. From there on, Spidey appears to be stuck doing his air stunts repeatedly, with no laws of gravity to adhere to.

Not only does this look fun, but actually ends up awarding you XP after XP with each execution of an air trick. I mean, free points going around here for those wanting to level up to a good standard without having to put in the effort. That said, feel free to attempt whether you can tap into the exploit on your end, but don’t hold your breath. Performing the glitch may not work on your end, but do try a couple of times.

On a side note, this isn’t the first time a player has discovered something they weren’t supposed to in Spider-Man 2. There’s a trick out there that will help you change the time of the day, although there’s no proper game feature that lets you do that. Moreover, another user found the Kraven on his end of things turning into a cube. But wait, if you haven’t seen the Venom riding a bicycle bug yet, you’ve seen nothing.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 came out October 20, 2023, for solely the PlayStation 5. eXputer, in its review, rated the game 4/5, shedding light on its terrific cast of characters, engaging storyline, quality accessibility features, and top-tier combat. If you’re a new player, here’s how to unlock all suits in Spider-Man 2 to dress for the occasion whenever you want.
