Producer Teases Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins DLCs

Testsuya Nomura, the designer, and director behind the Final Fantasy franchise, gives some insight into the game's upcoming expansions.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin finally came out last month on the 25th anniversary of the Final Fantasy franchise. Although the reviews for the game have been average, the sales for the game are still holding up well in many countries. Not only is Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin an entirely different take on the series, but also a great treat for players. With a lot of content planned for the future in the form of seasons, it’s a great game to grab.

In a recent interview with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura, the designer, and director behind the Final Fantasy franchise. gave a lot of new information about these upcoming expansions to Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. There will be three upcoming DLC missions in this season of the game, according to Tetsuya Nomura. All of them won’t come out at the same time but one by one at different instances. “That’s right. Not three will be delivered at once, but one will be added one by one,” he said.

We also got some insight into the content of these DLCs. One of the upcoming DLC missions will feature the Warrior of Light. Players will have to fight the boss in the DLC, according to Tetsuya Nomura. The Warrior of Light is seen in the ending of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, so fighting him is a very plausible DLC mission.

Additionally, the game will get new weapons in the upcoming expansions. So, we will definitely see some interesting new weapon types in the future of the game. Tetsuya Nomura also talked about the DIFFERENT FUTURES DLC in detail. The title of this DLC includes the initials “DFF” and “NT”, which may be a reference to Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. However, players won’t be able to predict the Boss for this DLC, according to Tetsuya Nomura. “In fact, this title also includes the letters “DFF” and “NT”. However, I don’t think anyone can predict the boss of this mission,” he said.

We’re certainly excited to see what Square Enix has planned for the game after what Tetsuya Nomura has talked about. Unfortunately, we don’t know the release date of these upcoming DLCs yet but hopefully, it’s soon. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is currently available to play on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive.
