The upcoming Tekken 8 is all the hype in the fighting gaming industry, but the PC specs detailed by the devs can be a cause of concern for a huge chunk of the community. Bandai Namco has recently confirmed the Tekken 8 PC system requirements on Steam. Following the trend set by the other AAA entries, Tekken 8 is also going to require an enormous storage space. It will seemingly hog a whole 100 GB on your PC.
The minimum requirements for the title are quite interesting. It demands at least an Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU to run the game. The GPU requirements are also arguably on the heavy side when the minimum requirements are considered for a fighting game. Have your rig powered by a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti or AMD Radeon R9 380X to play the game.
Tekken 8’s recommended PC specs could set you back a pretty penny, but it might be worth it to enjoy Tekken at its peak by Bandai Namco. At least an Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU is required to ensure a smooth sailing fighting experience. On the flip side, a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU will squeeze everything that can be offered from a next-gen Tekken title.

Bandai Namco has also affirmed that at least 8 GB RAM is required to be under the minimum specs umbrella. This is the standard RAM requirement for most fighting games, but the recommended settings require the usual 16 GB for Tekken 8. To put things into perspective, this is double the needed RAM compared to the newly released Mortal Kombat 1.
The entry is shaping up to be quite a massive upgrade in terms of visuals and gameplay alike, as we saw in the plethora of character reveals and trailers for the game. And its specifications also seem to reflect the satisfying gameplay and the visual fidelity that await the fans. Tekken 8 is pushing the needed system requirements to a new extreme for a fighting title, so much so that it is ahead of Mortal Kombat 1 in terms of most PC specs.
Tekken 8 is set to come out on Friday, January 26, 2024, for PC and the current-gen consoles, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. The massive PC system requirements have further confirmed that the game is pushing the hardware of current-gen consoles nearly to its limits. In other words, there is no hope for the title to be released on the last-gen consoles due to the hardware limitations in place.
