The World May Not Be “Quite Prepared” For Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Claims PlayStation Studios Official

Sony is really confident about the upcoming title, and for good reasons.

Story Highlights

  • Insomniac Games’ new project has recently been praised by the PlayStation Studios director of sound design, Jeremie Voillot, on LinkedIn. He tuned in to compliment the devs who have worked on the title.
  • The PlayStation Studios Official gave positive remarks to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, claiming that it is the team’s best work yet. He also claimed that the world may not be prepared for the entry right now.
  • Everyone agreed with the positive remarks in the comments. The original Marvel’s Spider-Man was one of the best superhero games of all time, and the mainline sequel is expected to shatter its records.
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will come out on October 20 for PlayStation 5 while skipping last-gen and PC. The pre-load for the game will be available a week before it officially releases globally.

Many eyes are ogling the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 release as it draws night. The alluring mainline sequel to one of the best superhero games of all time is brewing perfectly in every way. Now, even the PlayStation Studios Director of Sound Design, Jeremie Voillot, has chimed in to praise the entry and the devs behind it before it comes out. Jeremie has called out the Insomniac team on LinkedIn for creating its “best work yet.

Just want to take a minute to shout out the amazing audio team at Insomniac – such a wonderful and talented group of humans to get to work alongside,” said the PlayStation Studios offical.

The PS Studios official spoke highly about the new Insomniac entry, saying the world may not be ready for it. It is quite an assertive way to portray a game that has not even been released. However, considering that it’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, everyone has fervently agreed with Jeremie on his lofty remarks. It already stands on great merits if Jeremie is praising it. The original has left behind a great legacy that is to be followed, after all.

I’m not sure the world is quite prepared for what they are about to release upon it – it’s stunning, and in my humble opinion, their best work yet. Good luck getting to the finish line,” he continued.

A lot of hype has accumulated around Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and all of it seems to be justified. To put things into perspective, the original Marvel’s Spider-Man — that came out half a decade ago — remains the top-selling superhero title in the US as of this month. It cemented itself as one of the best games to release in terms of sales and popularity in the last decade, and the upcoming installment is a massive improvement over it.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature the duo of Miles Morales and Peter Parker working together to fend off villains from the streets of New York. The pre-load date for the entry has been confirmed to be October 13, but not everyone might be able to play it. The project could allegedly be banned in the Middle East due to the possible inclusion of LGBTQ+ content.

It will feature Venom and Kraven the Hunter as some of the villains. Moreover, the game greatly expands on the new Spider-Man universe with more unlocked regions in New York and characters. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will come out on October 20 for PlayStation 5 while skipping last-gen and PC. We can expect the entry to arrive on PC after a few years, but a last-gen version is off the charts due to technical limits.
