God of War Ragnarok File Sizes Revealed

Quite the jump from its predecessor.

One of the most eagerly awaited games in recent memory is Sony’s God of War Ragnarok, the sequel to God of War from 2018. As a result, we are aware of the unquenchable desire for fresh information, particularly now that three months have passed since its publication.

Ahead of their return to The Nine Realms, gamers are keen to remain up to date on the newest God of War: Ragnorok news. There is currently a high demand for information on the file size of games on various platforms, and several reliable Twitter accounts are up to it.

Major Takeaways:

  • The file sizes for God of War Ragnarok for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 are revealed via a Twitter account.
  • In the past, the same Twitter account has shown to be a reliable source.
  • There are more intriguing details regarding the game available.

For  PlayStation 5, God of War Ragnarok’s download size for the US edition was just posted by Twitter user “PlayStation Game Size” on October 20, 2022. Ragnarok will weigh 84GB for people in the US. Although the size of the EU file has not yet been determined, it will probably be between 90GB and 100GB.

What the Twitter user has to say about game sizes is as follows:

The data was obtained from the PlayStation Game Size account on Twitter, which has a history of providing quite accurate information. The Twitter account had previously provided an update regarding the file size of Horizon Forbidden West, and it had proven to be true.

Additionally, when the same Twitter account posted information regarding the God of War Ragnarok PlayStation 4 game size, a Reddit user corroborated it by posting a screenshot of the game that matched what PlayStation Game Size had said.

The size of God of War Ragnarok on the PlayStation 4 has generated a lot of debate. Some claim that this large file size suggests that Ragnarok is significantly larger than God of War 2018, which seems to be an unnecessary storage occupation.

Some people have also noted that the higher size may perhaps be related to lower compression or bigger game assets.

God Of War Ragnarok’s smaller file size on PlayStation 5 owes to Sony’s current console’s built-in “invisible compression”. As such, numerous games on PlayStation 5 require less space than on last-gen consoles.

Despite the fact that we have game sizes for the US and Europe, we must emphasize that the player’s region determines the download size and the game’s actual size is subject to change.

As a result, the size may alter depending on where you are. Additionally, as the game hasn’t yet gotten an update, the size of the installed game’s file may yet change.

God of War Ragnarok is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9 with a pre load on November 2nd.

More intriguing information about God of War: Ragnarok exists, which you might not be aware of. A God Of War TV show for Prime Video was also announced by Sony while Ragnarok was being developed.

Although it is claimed to be live-action, little is known about the series. The makers of The Expanse may be responsible for the TV adaptation, according to a March report.

A larger focus on accessibility is another change in the follow-up. Santa Monica Studio has promised that Ragnarok will have over 60 accessibility options, including complete controller customization, automated movements (sprinting, vaulting, etc.), a navigation assist button, and improved subtitle options.
