Mortal Kombat 1 Datamine Leak May Have Confirmed A New Story DLC

New Mortal Kombat 1 datamine leak could have confirmed a new story DLC that answers some of the mysteries surrounding the game’s lore and characters.
The Lin Kuei character and Cyrax of the Shirai Ryu are seemingly the same people. Cyrax is a female in this timeline of Mortal Kombat. She could be added to the main roster.
The datamine also suggests Terminator T-1000 is the 5th DLC character, and Ghostface is the 6th planned DLC character.
Mortal Kombat 1 came out on September 19, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Despite the gripping twist in Mortal Kombat 1’s story, some details about a few game characters have been left up in the air at the end of the campaign. A possible story DLC could settle the remaining scores for good. A new datamine leak by the modder @thethiny on Twitter suggests that NetherRealm Studios could be working on an unannounced DLC for the game that fizzles out the remaining mysteries.

The modder dived deeply into the Mortal Kombat 1 files and discovered that “the mysterious Lin Kuei lady, and Cyrax of the Shirai Ryu, are one person.” In other words, Cyrax is now a Woman in this new Mortal Kombat universe. Initially, it was believed the datamined files were talking about Frost or Sareena. However, Cyrax was the most referenced person. In other words, Cyrax could be added to the main roster as part of one of the DLCs.

As per the leak, Sektor Liu Kang helps him save Bi-Han and turn him back to normal. Sektor is also the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei. Bi-Han betrays Liu Kang in the story to side with Quan-Chi and Shang Tsung for power. Smoke and Scorpion create the Shirai Ryu, and Liu Kang joins to help them at the end of the campaign. The dataminers allege that the Lin Kuei expansion will begin from here.

The modder mentions that Sektor is the second and Noob Saibot is the third planned DLC character. A slight possibility also suggests that Terminator T-1000 is the 5th DLC character. Additionally, this rumor corroborates that Ghostface is likely the 6th planned DLC character. Only references to Mask and Knife were discovered, but the alphabetical order does not fit.
