Like A Dragon Gaiden’s English Dub Confirmed, Comes In December

RGG Studios has announced on Twitter/X that Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be receiving an English dub later this month. More details about the English dub will be revealed later on, as announced by the developer studio. Note that there was some controversy regarding Yong Yea, the English voice actor of Kiryu Kazuma, the game’s protagonist.

Previously, it was known that Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name wouldn’t feature an English dub on launch, and RGG Studios will be bringing a new voice actor in place of Darryl Kurylo, who had voiced Kiryu Kazuma in the previous titles. Later on, it was revealed that the new voice of Kiryu Kazuma will be Yong Yea, a YouTuber and Voice Actor, taking on the role in Like a Dragon Gaiden and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Now that RGG Studios has announced that the English dub is coming later in December, most fans have expressed their opinions, saying they’d prefer the already available English subbed version of the game. Other than that, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will feature Yong Yea’s performance as Kiryu Kazuma for the first time in the upcoming English Dub.
