Cyberpunk 2077: 7 BEST Cars [My Picks]

On my first time playing and experiencing it, I often wondered what the Cyberpunk 2077 best car was during my initial playthrough and couldn’t wait to get my first vehicle in the game. Ever since I first played the game back in the 1.6 patch to the latest 2.1 update with Phantom Liberty, I’ve amassed a large collection of cars, and I can’t wait to share with you which ones I think are the best for specific reasons and style.

7. Turbo-R V-Tech

Starting off my list, The Turbo-R V-Tech is an extremely familiar car for many players because not only was it the first car we saw back in the gameplay reveal of Cyberpunk 2077 all those years ago, but the reason why I chose it is because of its iconic design and presence. I know there are a lot of awesome-looking cars, but the Turbo-R V-Tech automatically wins due to being the signature car of the game all these years.

In my opinion, the car boasts amazing acceleration, and acquiring it for the first time after so much wait was worth it in the end. You can claim it by completing the *** on Wheels side job given by Jake Estevez, where he’ll hand over the car to you for free at the end of the mission.

6. Quadra Type-66 “Hoon”

The Quadra Type-66 “Hoon” was included as a freebie reward in the latest 2.0 updates with the Phantom Liberty expansion. The car was created in memory of Ken Block, a rally driver star who passed away on January 2, 2023. The car’s visual design includes several references to him, from his signature number to stickers matching his birth credentials.

You can acquire the car by completing the “I’m In Love with my Car” quest which is pretty simple as you just need to locate the car, find the nearby keys, and then drive off with it. I personally found it great to use in the Badlands, on the outskirts of Night City, as it mainly consists of offroad terrain.

5. 911 Turbo Cabriolet

The 911 Turbo Cabriolet was introduced with the 2.1 Update released this month on December 5th, and it instantly became my favorite car, not because it is another rendition of the Porsche 911 but because of its unique convertible design.

Lastly, it is worth stating that you won’t immediately receive access to the car upon purchase as you will then need to complete a short side job called “Shape of a Pony,” where you need to retrieve it from the Nomad Wraith Gang near the outskirts of Night City. Still, thankfully, you will also be refunded half the purchased amount of the car for your efforts.

4. Caliburn

The Caliburn is arguably one of the most popular cars in the game as not only can you claim it for free but back in the early days of the game, it was also possible to bypass a requirement to get it as quickly as possible. In my tests in-game, it also happens to be the fastest car in the game, being in the Hypercar category.

As shown in the images above, the Caliburn can be found for free in a large mining cave where you can find a blue container. However, the requirements to make it spawn can be confusing, as some have said you need to show up there after skipping a few in-game days at nighttime, while others have stated to complete specific Badlands quests such as Ghost Town or Panam’s entire questline.

From my experience, I got it at around Street Cred level 35 in Patch 1.6 while having fully completed Panam’s entire questline, but it can be a different instance for you, depending on your progression.

3. 911 Turbo

The 911 Turbo is an esteemed car owned by the Samurai Band’s Punk Rockstar Johnny Silverhand, who later gifts it to our protagonist, V, when living as a construct in their mind.

It has balanced stats and if you ask me, has great handling than most of the cars I own in Cyberpunk 2077. The 911 Turbo can be obtained after completing the CHIPPIN’ IN Side Job, which is unlocked after the Tapeworm side job and sees you retrieving the car from a trailer on a docked freighter ship.

2. Quadra Sport R-7 “Vigilante”

The Quadra Sport R-7 “Vigilante” was introduced with the launch of the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, most notably as a pre-order bonus for the DLC.

The reason why I chose this vehicle as the top contender for this list is mainly due to my love for American Muscle Cars or, in the Quadra R-7’s case, it being the closest one to being similar in design to a 1969 Dodge Charger. Thankfully, if you didn’t pre-order the DLC, you can still get the R-7 Vigilante by purchasing it from the Autofixer website or kiosks.

1. Herrera Outlaw “Weiler”

It brings me to my favorite car in the game, which is the Herrera Outlaw “Weiler”. It’s a modified version of the Herrera GTS that comes outfitted with an armored body and weapons. The reason why I think it’s not only the best car in Cyberpunk 2077 but the best weapons vehicle for me is because of its frontal-mounted machine guns and bullet-proof tires, which allow me to take down gangs and complete NCPD crimes easily.

You can get the Weiler by completing the “Baby Let Me Take You” side job, which becomes available after completing at least 7 vehicle delivery requests for Muamar Reyes.

My Take On The Best Car In Cyberpunk 2077

If you ask me, I’ll pick the R-7 for its sleek and muscle design any day because the moment I saw it being revealed as the pre-order bonus, I immediately fell in love with the car. However, from time to time, I like to drive the Turbo-R V-Tech due to its futuristic aesthetics and acceleration.

At the end of the day, choosing the cars comes down to personal preference, so my list is completely based on my countless hours of experience with the game.
