How Do You Unlock All Characters?

There are two methods to unlock characters: one is through the main storyline, and the other is through Sierokarte’s Knickknack Shack.

The 19 Characters can be divided into two sections:

Storyline Allies
Crewmate Card Allies

Storyline Allies

There are seven main storyline characters, and 6 of them automatically unlock in Chapter 1: The Western Frontier. In order to unlock the last character, “Id,” in Granblue Fantasy Relink, you will have to reach Chapter ø: Skybound Heart.

The following are all of the Storyline Characters that are unlocked along with their element:

Crewmate Card Allies

Now, the rest of the 12 unlockable characters can be unlocked by using an item called “Crewmate Card” at the Knickknack Shack. You will have to exchange a Crewmate Card for just a single ally. These allies can be unlocked one by one as you get Crewmate Cards by completing various main and side quests.

How Do You Get Crewmate Cards?

Crewmate Cards unlock as you progress through main quests and do some side quests and get it as a reward.

There are 12 Crewmate Card Allies who can be unlocked via Crewmate Cards. But I was surprised to know that two more characters are coming to GFR! That would mean that there will be more Crewmate Cards coming up to unlock them.

Following are all of the main and side quests that you would need to get a total of 12 Crewmate Cards:

Main Chapters / Sidequests	Details
Chapter 4: Skies Forever Blue	Siero Knickknack Shack' owner will give you your first Crewmate Card after defeating Chapter 3's boss.
Chapter 6: In Search of Hope	Siero will again give you a Crewmate Card after helping Zathma gather some info in Chapter 6.
Chapter 8: Relink	Siero will reward you with the third Crewmate Card after return to Seedhollow in Chapter 7.
Chapter 0: Skybound Heart	Will be given after being promoted to the Veteran Skyfarer Rank
Saga Grande: The Beginning	Crewmate Card received as a reward
The Saga Continues: Ice	Crewmate Card received as a reward
