Story Highlights
- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a new live service shooter by the popular Rocksteady Studios.
- The game is looking forward to the arrival of its Season 1 content, which includes the Joker, and more.
- An upcoming patch for the title has been delayed because the devs are focusing on Season 1 at present.
While I wouldn’t refer to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as particularly head-turning, considering the live service element involved and its execution, Rocksteady’s latest shooter holds its own as a satisfactorily fun title, but only for a limited time. With the aim to attract a larger audience and keep things fresh, the developer has announced in a new update that it has delayed Suicide Squad’s next patch to prioritize work on Season 1.
We’re aware that many of you are eagerly awaiting our next patch, for bug fixes and gameplay improvements, especially the Mutator changes. We’re excited to get those changes into the game, and we’re hard at work getting them ready,” says Rocksteady.
Rocksteady announced Season 1 content for Suicide Squad in an Insider episode over on the official WB Games YouTube channel, showing off an alternate version of the Joker and how he’s going to be part of this criminally sane party soon. The character, along with a ton of other stuff, including new boss fights, will be making their way to the shooter later this month.
Our main focus right now is getting the whole game ready to receive our free Season 1 Update this month, which includes the new playable character Joker, as well as new gear, environments, and more. As a result we won’t be releasing a patch next week as we dedicate ourselves to testing fixes and making sure they’re ready for implementation.
Best catch up on the 2024 roadmap plan of Rocksteady if you haven’t already; it should give you perspective as to what to expect going forward.
