Story Highlights
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an upcoming action-adventure RPG by Warhorse Studios.

- The developer, in a recent stream, has addressed fans, confirming that the game will ship without Denuvo.
Those who have been anticipating the forthcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 now have one less thing to worry about in an age of seemingly broken video game releases. Taking to Twitch in a recent live stream, Warhorse Studios has confirmed that its forthcoming RPG will arrive with no affiliation to Denuvo DRM—a digital rights management software that apparently does more harm than good.
I can tell you the exact situation and the exact situation is that KCD 2 will not have Denuvo in there and will not have any DRM system at all. We never confirmed it. There were some discussions, of course. There was some misinformation, but at the end of the day, there won’t be any Denuvo at all. With that, I would like you to close the case already,” emphasizes Warhorse.
In recent times, word started to spread that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 would come with Denuvo pre-installed, alerting waves of PC players out there who were readily awaiting the game’s release. Denuvo already remains controversial in the gaming industry, because of the anti-cheat software’s effects on game performance in both the past and present.
Denuvo DRM serves as an anti-cheat, but with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 being a single-player title, it makes no sense for it to come with the tool. In addition, if the first iteration in the franchise is anything to go by, it’s worth noting that the sequel will need every ounce of your hardware’s capacity to run smoothly.
This is a resource-intensive open-world RPG after all, so with Denuvo, the latter can get difficult to achieve.
The Kingdom Come: Deliverance IP Is Something I Can Recommend To Hardcore Players
If you haven’t picked up the first game yet, I absolutely advise that you do. Even years later, Kingdom Come: Deliverance does nothing but deliver, offering a unique, one-off experience you’re not going to find elsewhere. I will also say that the game isn’t for everyone, no thanks to its grueling difficulty, out-of-the-box gameplay, and no hand-holding for the player on the other side of the screen.
