S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Collector’s Edition Pre-Orders Online

The apocalyptic genre is widely popular in all entertainment media, but video games have wholly experimented with it. From hordes of infectious zombies to a dystopian cyberpunk world, the apocalyptic genre comes in all shapes and sizes.

One of the most popular sub-genres is the nuclear aftermath, where the barren land is plagued with radioactive monsters. Fallout games certainly come to mind when discussing the survival horrors of a nuclear wasteland. Franchises like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. have also contributed to first-person survival horror shooters in an apocalyptic nuclear setting.

The franchise is set in an alternate reality where Chornobyl Exclusion Zone is affected by an unexpected anomaly. All the physical, biological, and chemical processes are affected in that territory. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl explores the non-linear story with a bundle of paths to choose from that will lead to one of the multiple endings.

Mechanics include hunger, sleeping, bleeding, and radiation effects that keep even the most skilled players on edge. The highly-developed artificial intelligence will deliver a challenging experience, and there will also be mod-support that will keep the community busy for years.

Players have highly anticipated the fourth installment in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise. The game was first announced in 2010, but the development was ultimately halted in 2012. The development started in 2018, and the game has since witnessed more delays due to the saddening Russia-Ukraine conflict.

However, there is good news for the patient community. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Collector’s Edition now is available on Amazon for pre-ordering. The Collector’s Edition features a $179.99 price tag, while the Limited Edition has a $79.99 price tag, and the Standard Edition can be purchased for $59.99.

The Collector’s Edition comes with a gorgeous “STALKER FIGURINE,” a letter from the developers, a zone map, a military token necklace, a keychain, and much more. The Deluxe Edition features perks like “Addition Story-Based Side Quest.”

The single-player experience comes with “1 Costume Skin & 3 Weapon Skins,” while the multiplayer experience comes with “2 Costume Skins & 3 Weapon Skins” and “Digital Artbook & Digital Soundtrack.” The pre-order includes additional bonuses, more content, weapon/costume skins, and a unique multiplayer badge.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, and the first-person horror survival shooter is only planned for next-generation Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC. The title will also reportedly be released on the Xbox Game Pass. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl targets a release in the first half of 2023.
