Story Highlights

  • Video games are present in all forms, manners, and categories in this sprawling industry.

These also happen to be some of the best games ever released, and in case you’re a prolific gamer, chances are that you’re already aware of what these titles are.

Nothing But The Best Value With These Games, I Tell You

1. Cyberpunk 2077

Kicking off the list is the magnificent Cyberpunk 2077, a literal inspiration story for the rest of the gaming industry to draw motivation from, considering how this first-person RPG was one of the worst games in the business when it came out, and now it’s one of the best, not if the best altogether. Boasting incredible graphics, a solid gameplay structure with so much build variety, and tons of replay value.

Polish developer CD Projekt Red seemingly switched things up dramatically with the onset of Phantom Liberty, having released Update 2.0 in an attempt to enhance the title on multiple levels. That was the main turning point of Cyberpunk 2077 last year, with the shooter now in a more polished state than ever before, and fully accommodating e

2. Ghost Of Tsushima

Spoiler alert: There’s not a game out there that will make you cry over your horse dying. That’s the type of emotional journey Ghost of Tsushima takes you on, all the while showering upon the player blissful visuals, sensational combat gameplay, and heaps of side content and quests that will keep you hooked until the end of time. The epilogue of the game does not miss as well; ]

I personally got around 60 hours of top-level entertainment from Ghost of Tsushima, and even then I didn’t try everything that this Sucker Punch Productions’ masterpiece has to offer. eXputer reviewed the title as well, rating the PC version 4.0/5.0, with author Hamid Ali remarking,

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is a must-play samurai epic with a stellar PC port by Nixxes and Sucker Punch.”

3. Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar Games isn’t just famous for turning its Grand Theft Auto franchise into one of the biggest gaming brands in the industry’s history. The work that it’s done on the Red Dead Redemption series deserves an equal amount of praise, if not more, and if you haven’t still tried out the icon that the second installment in the franchise is, you’re missing out on a huge treat, big time.

Selling more than 60 million units to date, Red Dead Redemption 2 offers a ton of value for money, immersing players in a world that feels outright alive, with smart NPC tech, fantastic gunplay, and stellar overall design. Some players, over time, have found the pacing of the game to be slow, but that is, at the end of the day, a matter of preference because for me personally, when Red Dead 2 took off, it really took off.

eXputer revisited the action-adventure in 2024, reviewing Red Dead 2 with a 4.5/5.0 rating. Author Obaid ur Rehman remarked about the game, and I quote,

Even after five years, Red Dead Redemption 2 stands at the top next to new AAA titles, so it is still not too late to experience its greatness.”

4. The Last Of Us Part 2

The Last of Us Part 2

Many have disagreed with the plot choice of The Last of Us Part 2, killing off the first game’s main character just like that in the sequel, but despite all its controversy and misgivings, the title still holds its own as the definitive single-player experience on the PlayStation 5. The campaign follows a linear play style, but that doesn’t even begin to take away from the magic of this game. You have to play it to believe it, all I’ll say.

eXputer reviewed the remastered release of the third-person action-adventure, rating it 5/5 and praising its thrilling narrative, incredible gameplay, and amazing soundtrack that’s just there to turn heads or ears, should I say. Oh, and the newfound No Return mode is absolutely fantastic. You can’t go wrong with it.

5. Death Stranding

Despite Being Funded By Sony, Death Stranding Was Made By An Indie Studio

Death Stranding is humorously walked as a “walking simulator,” but trust me, there’s so much more to this thriller than one would normally think. Exceptional world design followed by charming characters and a deep-dyed story are some of the glaring positives of action-adventure, with a sequel now approaching as well

6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is home to some of the greatest side quests in gaming history, not to mention the surreal storyline on top paired with combat that can keep you hooked for days. Talk about current-gen graphics thanks to CDPR’s constant efforts putting The Witcher 3 up-to-speed with the time and tech of today.
