Dying Light 2: How To Get Secret Bicycle

Roam the streets of Central Loop using the secret bicycle in Dying Light 2 if you are tired of running on foot, jumping and grabbing ledges.

The world of Dying Light 2 is designed for indoor and outdoor exploration. Of course, parkour and combat are an integral part of the game that is why having the best Dying Light 2 weapons and skills guarantees a high chance of survival. You can scale the heights on Villedor and Central Loop or roam inside the dark corridors of abandoned buildings. However, would it not be better if you could ride through the streets full of zombies on a bicycle? Well, you can spawn a secret bicycle in Dying Light 2 if you’re playing the game on the PC platform.

Key Highlights
  • The Bicycle in Dying Light 2 is used to help the player scale the heights on Villonder and to roam inside the dark corridors of abandoned buildings followed by zombies.
  • You can use the secret bike in the streets of Central Loop by downloading the mod from the Nexus mod websites.
  • After downloading the zip file, extract all the files into the main Dying light 2 folder and copy-paste them. By reaching the open-world segment, you can access the developer menu where the secret bike is placed.

Bicycle is the unused asset in the game, and Techland, the developers of Dying Light 2, have placed it within the game’s files. The only possible way to use the secret bike in the streets of Central Loop is by downloading a mod from the Nexus mods website. That being said, spawning the bicycle in the game’s world is not the legit way. That is also the reason why console players cannot spawn the bicycle, as this action can only be done if you have Dying Light 2 on your PC.

SERVPH created the bike mod by giving players access to the developer mode. Players who are eager to try this mod must download the file first to begin the process.

Downloading Developer Mod

After downloading the zip file of the developer menu mod, you will need to extract all files into the main Dying Light 2 folder located in your Steam Library folder. You can also read our Weapon Mods in Dying Light 2 guide.

Replacing Files

When you try to extract or drag-drop the contents of the developer mod zip file to the main directory, you will get a pop-up for replacing engine_x64_rwdi.dll and gamedll_ph_x64_rwdi.dll. You can go ahead and replace these both, or you can copy-paste the original files to somewhere else in case things do not go as planned.

Launching The Developer Menu

After copy-pasting the contents of the “ph” folder into your local save directory of Dying Light 2, you must launch the game to test it. There are a few known issues related to the mod, but there is nothing game-breaking now.

After reaching the open-world segment of the game, you can access the developer menu. The secret bicycle in Dying Light 2 can be accessed by opening the “Items” menu from the list. After that, you will see a bike spawn right in front of your location.

Apparently, the developer menu not only spawns a secret bicycle in the open world, but it can also do many other things as well. You can toggle a few cheat codes and play with the day and night cycle. This can make your Dying Light 2 experience pretty much challenging or very easy.

The developer menu was actually brought into the light first by Redditor Taki7o7. He uploaded a short video showcasing the bike riding mechanic in Dying Light 2. It was only after that the Dying Light 2 community started exploring other options of exploring game’s world besides running on foot. And why wouldn’t anyone try this? The bike moves faster through streets and can also be used to perform several stunt jumps from decent heights.

Overall, it would have been great if Techland had officially given players access to the secret bike in Dying Light 2. After all, the PC community of the game got its access regardless of making it an unused asset, while console owners of Dying Light 2 are locked out of this option.

Note: We tested the developer Menu mod and found out that the bike only appears in the Central Loop part of the map, and it doesn’t spawn while Aiden is in Villedor. So, if you have not reached the second map of the game, don’t bother trying the whole process to ride a bike in the open-world of Dying Light 2.

Disclaimer: Since this is an unofficial way of bringing an unused asset by downloading a mod. We do not encourage you to try it out, as you can get banned while using the mod in the multiplayer mod. Therefore, we do not take responsibility if your Dying Light 2 account gets banned. You must try the bicycle mod at your own discretion.
