- Moonveil can be found in Caelid. A tunnel named Gael Tunnel is where it is located at. It is at the boundary of Limgrave and Caelid right at the edge of the map.

Reaching Gael Tunnel For Moonveil Katana

As the Moonveil katana is located at a tricky location in Elden Ring. There’s a rare chance that you’ll get to the Katana’s location on your own by finding map fragments and reaching the location. But don’t worry, we got to the location and have prepared an easy guide on how you can get there.
Before you go out and look for it, we recommend that you level up a little. As it includes fighting a mini-boss at the Moonveil Katana location in Elden Ring. You need to be prepared for it or else the fight can be unforgiving. Around level 30, you’ll have an easy experience.
To get here, the player will have to travel to the Limgrave and Caelid region border. The player will have to travel from Limgrave and go through the Summonwater Village ruins. Following this path, travel to the Shack of Rottings. If you have reached the Shack of Rottings before, you won’t have to discover it again. Once you get there, travel to the south through the opening.
The Gael Tunnel is located along the cliffs. Here, you’ll find a pathway with two soldiers that are standing guard. You can either engage with them or sneak by them to enter the tunnel. After crossing the soldiers, you’ll need to get down the cliff to the tunnel’s entrance. Without your Torrent horse, you’ll have to make sure that you don’t end up tripping, or else your player might die.

Exploring Gael Tunnel
Inside the Tunnel, you won’t find more than a few enemies unless you plan on exploring the cave. On our venture, we stuck to the plan and faced a few knights and miners. You can dispatch the knights by backstabbing them. As for the miners, they’re a bit trickier so you’ll need to use the usual method. But keep in mind that some of the miners will throw bombs at you.
If you don’t want to fight these Knights and Miners, you can run straight ahead. This way you have to spend extra time at this spot and get the Moonveil Katana location sooner. You’ll find a ramp, go down it, and get into a tunnel.
Going down the Tunnel is rather tricky. Fall slowly and in a clockwise pattern. This will ensure that you won’t fall to your death. Stick to the left path to get to the mini-boss “Magma Wyrm Makar”. The Magma Wyrm is located behind a fogged door. Don’t enter the boss area for now. You need to continue straight to get to the Site of Grace. Rest here before you get into the fight. Now you can enter Moonveil Katana’s location, the Boss area, and fight the Magma Wyrm.

Fighting the Magma Wyrm
Magma Wyrm is one of the Mini-bosses. Even if it’s a mini-boss, killing it isn’t hard. You’ll need to be prepared for it. If you go to the Moonveil Katana’s location without preparation, you’ll die in an instant. here’s what you need to do.
To get The Moonveil Katana in Elden Ring, you’ll have to fight the Magma Wyrm at its location. The Wyrm seems like a fierce dragon, but it is easier to fight with an easy pattern. Before opening the doors to the Wyrm, we highly recommend that you put on fire resistance armor.
If you have the Flamedrake Talisman, equip that too. It will increase fire damage negation by 13%. Upgrading the Flamedrake Talisman will increase the fire damage negation but that’s for some other time. Ashen Remains also will be great help if you are soloing the boss.
Now you might be wondering why all this preparation of fire resistance? It is because the Magma Wyrm, as the name suggests, does fire damage for most of the part.
Although it has a large sword in its right hand, 50% of its attacks consist of it spewing lava everywhere. And you’ll be fighting it in a small boss arena where the Moonveil Katana is located.

The Fight for Moonveil Katana
The Magma Wyrm has hard-hitting moves. These aren’t some quick moves that you got to be wary of, its attacks are slow with a slow recovery time. If it manages to hit you, the attacks will drain your health bar. If you don’t have full HP, you’ll die with a single shot from the Magma Wyrm. But all this is worth getting the Moonveil Katana at that location.
While the Magma Wyrm is recovering from its attacks, you can hit it by rolling in, slashing it once or twice, and getting away. When you are fighting it close quarters, remember that the Wyrm will hit you either with its sword or the entire body. This will cause an AoE shockwave. To dodge these attacks, you only have to keep an eye on the arm and the body. It will rear up a little before it attacks you.
When the Magma Wyrm is running around or preparing its vomiting lava attack, get away from it. Because it will be impossible to get to the Wyrm with all the lava and fire around. As it gets to half the HP, it will try to crush you by launching in the air. These attacks can be easily dodged if you keep an eye on their attack pattern.

Its large health pool may get you tired after following the same pattern, trying to hit it once during its attack chains. We have good news for you. The Magma Wyrm is vulnerable to magic damage. If you use sorceries, then killing the Wyrm will be a piece of cake for you. Worried if you missed any of the best Sorcery spells, here’s how you can get the best Sorcery Spells.
Sorcery users can easily hit it while keeping a distance. But you shouldn’t get greedy. If you are successful at getting a hit, reposition yourself and attack again. Don’t try to hit it multiple times while standing in one place. You’re already doing more damage than a close-quarter fighter while keeping a distance between yourself and the Wyrm.
So take it slow, it will keep you alive and you won’t have to start all over again. If you have a different class, and still want to keep a distance between yourself and the Wyrm, here’s a list of the 13 best Ranged Weapons to help you.
By staying at the back and sides, you’ll be avoiding its mouth. So the best method is to attack from its back. But there, you’ll be prone to sweep attacks.
For these attacks, the Wyrm winds up and swings in a circular motion. If you try to dodge it quickly, you’ll end up taking damage. With a little bit of practice, you’ll get the timings perfect.
