Hogwarts Legacy All House Choices [Answered]

If you’re a Potterhead, then one of the first things that you’ll worry about when you’ll start Hogwarts Legacy is House Choices. Because the houses in Hogwarts play an important part in a student’s day-to-day life. That will define what you are and eventually you will get to interact with people of the same nature. If you are playing Hogwarts Legacy for the first time, it is important to know which house to select.

Choosing The House

Now, the game has its own mechanics where the Sorting Hat chooses a house for you based on your answer to a few questions. Other than that, the developers have prepared a website where you can take a sort of personality test. There, you’ll have to give answers to a series of questions that will then determine which house is best suited for you. You can later link your account to the game and get that house into the game.

Alternatively, you can directly head into the game and get sorted there. Now, the famous Sorting Hat will determine what house you should go into. You won’t have to answer a bunch of questions. But you’ll only have to answer two questions. Sorting Hat will first ask:

“You come here with preferences and preconceptions – certain expectations.”

To that question, you can give one of these two answers. Now, remember, the answer won’t affect what house you get sorted into. The answers to the question are:

• “I can’t wait to start classes”
• “I can’t wait to explore”

Then, the Sorting Hat will ask you one question which will determine which house you should go into. If you have already selected a house on the website, you won’t get the next question. You’ll only get the first question and head to the final selection. The Hat will say:

“Hmm. I wonder. Hmm. I detect something in you. A certain sense of – hmm – What is it?”

Now, whatever answer you give to the sorting hat will determine what house you will get into. Although you can choose a different house later on, here are the answers to that question and what house you will get selected into.

• Daring – That answer will get you into Gryffindor.
• Curiosity – The Sorting Hat will suggest Ravenclaw.
• Loyalty – Loyalty is the trait of Hufflepuff.
• Ambition – It’s the answer to Slytherin.

Final Selection

After answering the Sorting Hat’s questions, it suggests a house based on your responses. If you’re dissatisfied with the selection, you can change it to your preferred house, but this choice is final for the current save game. You’ll remain in the selected house until you start a new game, so it’s crucial to choose wisely.

• Selecting a particular house won’t drastically alter the game; the overall story and experience remain the same.
• However, there are some minor changes in gameplay and interactions based on your chosen house.
• You’ll engage with students from your selected house and explore its unique Common Room.
• For those who prefer a new and unspoiled experience, diving into the game without pre-selecting a house is an option. 

Differences Between Each House

Each of the houses is different from the other one. That is because, within each of them, you will have a unique collection of NPCs that you can interact with. Not only that but there are also other things that you will get to experience differently in each house. We’ll list them all below so you can get an idea of what to expect with each house.

Houses In Hogwarts Legacy

Each house at Hogwarts is unique in its own features. When you choose a house, you get a lot of different benefits from it. Although they don’t affect the overall story or the gameplay, they all add a unique experience for the players. Each of these houses represents one of the founders of Hogwarts. That is why it is necessary that you make the right House Choices in Hogwarts Legacy. Here is what you’ll get to see with each house.

Gryffindor

The Gryffindor House is named after Godric Gryffindor. His house has red and gold colors. Whereas the house animal is the Lion. The Gryffindor Common Room is in the Gryffindor Tower. You’ll find that the Common Room has prominent red and golden colors. And that it is always busy and has an energetic atmosphere.

The students of the house are brave and courageous. And they will almost always be ready to do the right thing. You’ll get to interact with some unique 5th-year Gryffindor Students at the house. These are Cressida Blume, Garreth Weasley, and Nellie Oggspire. Some notable Gryffindor House characters in the Harry Potter universe are Albus Dumbledore, The Marauders, and Harry Potter.

Hufflepuff

Named after Helga Hufflepuff, the house has Yellow and Black as its colors. The Badger is their House Animal. As for the Common Room, you’ll find it near the kitchen of the Great Halls, next to the Stack of Large Barrels. When you enter the Common Room, it has earth earth-themed atmosphere with tons of plants in it. It gives out a cozy feeling for anyone inside, and they feel at peace.

The Hufflepuffs are welcoming and of good nature. They are loyal to their friends and aren’t ambitious like other houses. Abelaide Oakes, author Plummly, and Lenora Everleigh are some of the members of the Hufflepuffs that you get to interact with as a 5th-year student. Whereas Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks are some notable Hufflepuffs who later attended Hogwarts.

Ravenclaw

Rowena Ravenclaw is the founder of Ravenclaw House. The bouse colors are blue and bronze with the Eagle as its house animal. You’ll find the Ravenclaw Common Room in one of the towers on the Western side of the castle. To enter it, the player will have to answer a riddle. Once they enter it, they will find the Common Room lighten up by huge windows. The airy interior is designed to keep your mind fresh so students can continue sharpening their brains.

Ravenclaw’s students are said to be the smartest of all students. They focus on academia rather than other aspects of their life. They are filled with wit and wisdom. Amit Thakkar, Duncan Everett Clopton, and Samantha Dare are some 5-year students that you’ll get to meet. Whereas Luna Lovegood and Sybill Trelawny are some notable Ravenclaw house members who attended Hogwarts later.

Slytherin

Lastly, I have the house Slytherin, whose founder is Salazar Slytherin. Slytherin’s colors are of Green and Silver. Whereas the Snake is the house animal. The Slytherin Common Room is located down in the Dungeons, and it is hard to miss if you aren’t focused. When you get inside the Common Room, you’ll be welcomed with a calm and dim light. It gives a unique, cozy feeling of its own that isn’t found in any other Common Room.

The Students of Slytherin are said to be ambitious and cunning. They often set aside morals or consequences to attain their goals. If you join the Slytherin House, Imelda Reyes, Ominis Gaun, and Sebastian Sallow will be there to welcome you. A few of the notable Slytherin house members are Tom Riddle, more commonly known as Voldemort, and Severus Snape.

Making the right choices for your house in Hogwarts Legacy is important. That is because once you have selected the right house, you will have to spend your time with that house members.
